It really was an eye opening article. A kid getting Tommy John surgery at 16! Reconstructive knee surgery at 13! Scary stuff.

Agreed. If an adult wouldn't do that, why make a teenager. Whoever his coach is, or was, they shouldn't be doing that job anymore.

Because he couldn't start his summer season until June, he would essentially be starting a game every other day. His coach should be shot. I don't care how "strong" his arm was, or how good he was, that's horrible coaching. I've gone on one day's rest a few times each summer near the end of the year, and I pay the price those next two weeks.
