Wish I could help you more, but I'm a lefty and never played catcher.
For 11-12 year-olds, I would think that just basic fundamentals will make the biggest impact:
--Always provide a big, visible, centered, stationary target for the pitcher (no excessive rocking, closing the mitt, mitt on the ground, etc...)
--Always focus first on catching the ball, worry about other stuff later (steals, foul popups, bunts, etc...). More games at that age are won/lost on passed balls than on covering bunts and popups.
--Help the pitcher when you see signs of tiredness or lack of confidence (again, a good target, with emphasis on keeping the ball around the knees)
--Have fun! If they're a playful personality, let them talk to the batters but not the umpire. But none of that should happen at the expense of the first three points.
Wild pitch drills would be as helpful as anything for this age group. Passed balls are a killer, so at this age, solid catching fundamentals are much more important than a strong arm or great agility.
