Brian Grasso graces Indianapolis with his presence this weekend as a featured speaker at the International Youth Sports Congress.

I'll take some photos of the big lug for all to see just to prove that he is a real person. We will then dine at the world famous (well sort of if you watch Monday Night Football) St. Elmo's Steakhouse which is also home to the world's hottest shrimp cocktail sauce (I can't wait to see Brian give it a go!).

Rumor has it that Cal Ripken, Jr. will be joining us as well.

What a tremendous time we had!

Brian Grasso is the man. As a bonus Lee Taft from www.sportspeedetc.com was also there and it turns out he's moving to Indy!!

Conversation never lagged all night. We started talking about 6 pm, continued through dinner, and got kicked out of the bar at the Westin at closing time.

We talked about so many things it was like going to a seminar. You should have been there.

I HAD A BLAST!

Ya, I spoke in front of 200+ youth sports delegates from around the world and won the informal 'best seminar' and 'most popular seminar' awards from the event organizers, but the highlight of my weekend in Indy was meeting Mr. Bill Hartman and Mr. Lee Taft.

Bill is right on the mark when he says that we talked about EVERYTHING. I felt as though I owed someone $600 after the night was over 'cause there was more insightful discussion going on than there was at ANY conference I have ever been to!

Key lessons I learned while in Indy:

1. ART hurts like hell (thanks Bill!).

2. Getting Bill, Lee and myself together is dangerous 'cause we ALL love talking about sport training and development.

3. If I ever get into a street fight I want Bill Hartman beside me... The man is HUGE!

4. The International Youth Conditioning Association is going to be a TREMENDOUS success – with classy and knowledgeable pros like Hartman and Taft involved, success will be a foregone conclusion.

It was simply awesome!

If you look at the picture of Brian and me, you can kind of see me wincing 'cause he's crushing my delicate little hand. I had to pay him back somehow. Besides, it's always fun watch a world class martial artist whine and cry a bit.

The fact that Bill was making me 'whine and cry' is 100% true. The notion that I am a 'world class martial artist' is not!

By the way Bill... I have already started thinking about when I can come back for treatment #2!

Brian:

Guess there was no "happy ending"?

BR

PS:

The wedding was fun, but I wish I had attended Indy. I'm going hell or high water next year.

Man, I wish I could have been a fly on the wall for that conversation. Bill, you've grown your hair out! You are looking more like Ah-nold from his early years (thinking Conan!).

Brian, that ART may hurt, but it sure is effective, no? My hip problem that had me limping like a cripple hasn't bothered me since the retreat!
