A bill banning gender bias in youth athletics programs run by cities and counties in California is awaiting Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's signature. The bill will help thousands of mostly low-income girls participate in recreation activities.

That's excellent news. I hope he signs off on that bill. I just read the article and it seems like a great way to get more people active that don't typically have the opportunity.

Truly so. Maybe in some hundred years such thoughts might come to politicians over here.

Makes me suffer thinking how p.e. classes got cut down and whole schools have closed. On the other hand equity is not a term people in Bulgaria are familiar with in any sphere of life yet, so it might really take several hundred years.
