Default Hitting the stage before I'm 30!

Hi everyone. I'm new around these parts and thought I'd start a journal to keep track of progress and meet some nice people.

History on me: I was overweight for most of my life, lost a bunch in high school, gained a bunch back in college, then lost way too much..lol...I was down to about 110# 3 years ago. I started seriously lifting weights and actually eating and gained a lot of muscle...and unfortunately a lot of fat!!

2 months ago, I started working with a fantastic trainer..we had so much fun and he was helping me a lot..we were working toward a bodybuilding show this spring...well...tragically, he died 2 weeks ago..only 35 yrs old..such a shock..

I still have a drive to compete by the time I turn 30 (June 2010) I want to do it for me and for my old trainer...my plan is to do bodybuilding.

Stats:

5'7
160#

I"m a middle school band director, but my passion is fitness and nutrition. I would love to get into that in the future

I look forward to getting to know all of you!

We have something in common...and it ain't the age!!! I, too, am on the track to doing a competition next year. Mine is set for March.

Such unfortunate news about your trainer, but it is refreshing to hear that you have not lost your desire to continue with your training. Sounds like your trainer wouldn't have wanted any other way and I'm sure he will be with you at every point of your journey.

All the best to you. I look forward to reading about your progress.

SUB! Finally some physique competitors! Chicks too! Are you doing figure or BBing? (question is to both of you) Also, I recognize you from BB.com don't I?

BTW: Tragic RE your trainer. It is awesome that you do this to honor him as well as for yourself.

Edit: Oh, I see you are trying to do bbing. Yehaw! I can't wait to follow this journey!
