Didn't bother with the sprinting and jogging session today. Instead I did a skipping and shadow boxing for 45 minutes. I enjoyed this more than plain old running as I am practicing my technique at the same time as getting some cardio in.

Came home today and felt exhausted. I was going to take the day off. I decided to do a little bit of my weights session. I am glad I did. As soon as I got in there I was pumped and pushing along like an animal. I was so pumped by the end of the session it was amazing.

I am very pleased with myself for getting in there and not just completing my workout but actually giving it maximum energy. The Prodigy blasting into my ears helped with this.

To add to this, I have been a very, very good boy with my diet this week since Saturday evening. Roll on this Saturday for my weigh in.

I am very pleased with myself at the moment!

Second day of being exhausted. I went interval running and then jogging afterwards. I was really tired but I pushed through it and completed it. Nothing more to add except that I again was 100% compliant with my diet.

zzzzzzzzzz tired! I have 2 more days before I can refeed!

I have a weight session at 6am tomorrow morning which will be tough but I'll do it. So far its been an amazing week with the training and diet.

I totally 2nd on this stuff! 1 - Prodigy and Fatboy Slim are my favorite workout tunes and 2 - I can't tell you how many times I've practically crawled into the gym with out any energy or motivation and left feeling 10 x better. Sometimes it doesn't work but I'd say a good 80% of the time just getting there and starting gets you going good!

Nice job so far, by the way!

Woke up at 6am this morning and was going to do a weight session. My body felt really sore so I decided to not do the session and instead went for a 50min fasted walk. I feel much better now and am considering doing the session at lunch time instead. But I have a massive muay thai session tomorrow so it might be a good idea to actually rest today. I have worked out for 7 days without a day off, so it might be a good idea!

Just weighed in. I have lost 2.4 lbs. Not exactly the 3 lbs that I had wanted, but it will have to do! It has been a very good week.

So in summary:

Week 0: 188 lbs
Week 1: 183.6 lbs (-5.0 lbs)
Week 2: 185.0 lbs (+1.4 lbs)

Week 3: 182.6 lbs (-2.6 lbs)

Overall: 5.4 lbs lost in 3 weeks.

Target for next week: 2.5 lbs

It is also my cheat day today, but today I will not eat as much as I did last week. This will definitely help me with my target.

Going to go to muay thai now get some hard work done.

So much for the not overeat yesterday. I went and overate! f*&(&*

This does not mean that my goal for this week changes. I stick to the 2.5lb weight loss

Anyway, I was meant to have a weights session this morning. I could only manage to get halfway through it when I decided I was way to beat up from the muay thai session that I had yesterday. I stopped half way through. A rest is needed! I will do some foam rolling, stretching and walking later on instead

Chiming in some support! Looking great. It looks as though you are still in 'extreme' mode, though it may just be your personality at work

I myself don't do as well with being so extreme, because I am an addictive personality (suffered with eating disorders and other things in the past) so when I start something, it can be really obsessive.

For long term success, I HAVE to make sure and allow other things in my life and not to overfocus on the one thing I am doing. I don't 'make up' for cheat meals, or do an extra workout as punishment for a bad day.

It may be totally different for you though. A lot of guys are the all or nothing type.

Whatever you find that works for you. I'll be watching and reading!

I am certainly all or nothing. I would have taken the slow or steady approach, but I like the idea of throwing everything into it for the next few weeks.

Thanks for your support!

Great day so far. I drank too much coffee today and was a little overstimulated around lunch time!

Just finished my weights session and feel great. Managed a round of HIIT after it and finished very strong.

I am gunning for those 2.5 lbs this week!

Just completed my second weights session and it was tough. I was absolutely soaked in sweat by the end of it.

My nipples were really sore after the rubbing of my wet t-shirt onto my chest. This happens all the time and is annoying!

Here's my current schedule:

Mon: Weights + HIIT
Tues Weights + HIIT
Wed: Muay Thai cardio
Thurs Weights + HIIT
Fri: Off - 2 x 45 minute walks
Sat: Muay Thai
Sunday Off or go for a run depending on how I feel

It's called joggers nipples. I don't know what the name is but there is something you can apply to the nipples to guard against the rubbing while engaged in sports. Sorry I don't know the name but you could prolly Google it. I have read where some people use vaseline too but that would stain your shirt I'm guessing.

It is certainly annoying! I'll try a bandaid of some sort next time.

I tried that once when I was young and stupid. I didn't think that my copious amounts of chest hair may make removing them difficult (not to mention painful!)

P.S. Bandaid? Plasters! You don't say bandaids down South, do you?!?

No, I don't! I was going to use the word plaster, but I am catering to the audience, the majority of which are American!

See, I was being considerate!

I have never had that. Could it be because women wear sportsbras? My chest is usually really sensitive to anything . . ..

I haven't heard of it, apparently I am sheltered.

Haha! I love that. I've been here a year and at this point when someone does something nice I think "cheers" but won't say it (I just say thanks) because I think it'll sound funny coming from an American.

I never know what words to use anymore, nor how to say them!

Cheers is okay. It's when Americans say "mate" that it sounds weird

Was meant to do cardio today, but decided to give it a miss. I was extremely tired and hungry so I took today off. I ate and relaxed. This should also give my poor nips to recover!

Pretty pleased about taking that day off yesterday. I feel excellent today. Fresh and no aches. This will mean I will be having an energetic weights session tonight.

Starting to have doubts about the target for the week, but there are still 1.5 days left.

Missed the weights session yesterday as I was tired. I had to do it today instead, which I prefer not to as this tomorrow is muay thai class and I like to be fully rested. I have come to the conclusion that I have not been eating enough this week. Today, I upped my calories and will do so for the remainder of this week and future weeks.

Weigh in tomorrow. There's not a chance I will hit the 2.5lb goal. I'll see tomorrow morning
