For what it's worth, BLM, I do all of my step-ups on the bench. It's definitely more challenging than an aerobic step with a few risers.

Hang in there. You're right: not every workout is going to be shat out by a unicorn with bubbles, Pink Candy perfume and sparkles. Stick with it and give it what you've got.

I agree about the bench; I used it today for the first time, because the other step I usually use was busy. I found it challenging on the bench because of the padding; it made my foot more wobbly than usual, and made me work harder to balance.

Default on the way back home

I've been out of town for a while visiting my sister in colorado. I haven't been able to hit the gym, but I have been hiking, biking, and such most days I was gone. I'll be back home soon, weather permitting. Was going to hit the gym today, but don't know then I'll get back in town, so I'll just get back into it tomorrow.

take care and thanks for checking in

Not every workout? Hell, I have yet to see one of those in my gym. My lifting partner claimed to see a unicorn once in the gym but it was after failed snatch attempt so I didn't take him seriously.

Padding is exactly my problem. I did step ups yesterday and wobbled more than enough

Default I'm back!!!

So I've been out offline here for a bit. Went to Colorado to see family, absolutely beautiful place, then when I got back I was working a ton extra so haven't really been able to get on here. On Monday I can restart my routine of going to the gym and posting. It will be nice having a normal schedule again, although I'm not sure how long that will last since my boyfriend and I are moving soon hopefully. We're staying local but moving from apartment to a house. That move will include removing all the carpet in the house and laying floors and tile and painting everything, so even if I can't get to the gym during that time, I'll still be burning calories at home!

thanks to everyone who kept checking in on me, I'll keep you posted. Hope all your workouts have been going well!

take care

Hope the move to the house goes well! Just think of the extra cals you'll burn laying the carpet.

yay!!! we find out about the house tomorrow! If everything goes right my bf gets to close....

in a related matter, has anyone bought flooring from lumber liquidators, how was the quality, service, etc. We're planning on getting stranded bamboo flooring and Ive been reading lots of terrible things and great things about lumber liquidators. My sis used them in colorado and spoke highly of them. just want to make sure!

and forget about the carpet, i'm going to have huge guns after lugging all those boxes!!! then come pulling up the carpet, them moving the new flooring boxes, lol

take care everyone!!!

wow, what a busy week its been. My bf got the house!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! we did a complete pack/move in just a few days, so its been definitely crazy around my way. I love my new house its so great, can't wait to get things settled in....

as far as work outs... how about a going up and down 2 flights of stairs about a million times carrying boxes then going up the ramp to the moving truck! I was definitely working on my glutes and legs as wells as arms and everything else. And it counts for cardio, lol.

Hopefully as things begin to get settled here I'll be able to get a more normal schedule and get back into the gym/ working out/ and logging on here.

thanks for everyone who has been checking in...

more of the same... still getting the house set up. I've found that attacking bushes with hedge clippers is fun and a work out. I've been getting lots of exercise from cleaning and fixing up the house.
