Awesome news on the puppy, and yeah, looks like tons of fun on that waterslide! Of course his knee is doing well, he's got a live-in physical therapist!
Julie, I was in Whole Foods today and saw a magazine at the checkout called "Living Without" for people who are gluten intolerant and have food allergies. You've probably already heard of it, but just in case, I wanted to pass on the info!

Hmm ... I'll have to check it out. I get one at my local health food store called "Gluten Free Living". It's pretty good. I like "Eating Well" better although I can't eat everything in there, I can eat a lot of the recipes.
Haven't posted in here in a while ... fat is still dropping off. I'm now lower than I have been since my wedding 7+ years ago. Feeling good in general although this cold I've had apparently is Strep A, so I had to go on an antibiotic. She did give me the lowest she could (penicillin, 4x daily x 10 days). At least it's not broad-spectrum. I'm tripling my probiotics and still taking the nystatin, so I'm really hoping that this doesn't set me way back in the fight against candida.
Not many workouts lately other than walking the puppy ... too much stress in settling into our new school routines. I'm hoping that by next week I can start back ... yoga or resistance in the morning ... walking the dog in the afternoon.
Food is still pretty restricted, especially with this recent strep infection. Bah. But I found some great allergy-free cookbooks that have really helped. I also have the Flavor Bible and love creating stuff using the combos. I made this killer red quinoa salad with figs, mint, walnuts, and a honey orange dressing. It was amazing.

Glad to hear that aside from the cold, you're doing well!

Sorry to hear you were sick but YEAH on all the other fronts. I am totally jealous of the slip and slide pic. Is that you or some little kid sliding across that on their belly? LOL!

Aoife, nope ... still anti-fungal! No yeast, sugar, alcohol ... limited fruits ... minimal cured items (like olives, ham, etc). I was to be done at the end of Sept. but with the new antibiotic, now it'll be the end of October at the earliest.
Elisabeth, thanks! I am very happy about the weight ... nice side effect ... feeling better is the real prize.
Making a cuban marinated pork tenderloin for dinner ... it smells so good it has attracted my family from outside!! YUM!!

What's up with olives?
Is that book you were talking about an e-book? Inquiring minds want to know as I've still got the idea to maybe also start an elimination diet one of these days (so there's no unnecessary avoiding of food items)
