Compliance has not been great ... but here's my reports ...
Thursday: 1. Sleep = I was awake every 1.5 hours to let Duncan out. Didn't sleep much in between. FAIL 2. Digestive Enzymes = I took them before breakfast but didn't eat lunch or dinner. FAIL 3. Chew chew chew = I did chew my breakfast. Go me. 4. Follow gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free diet to a "T" = Yes. 5. Exercise = I got out in the garden and weeded the whole thing with a hoe, then spread newspaper (Matt did the straw later when he got home with it.) 6. Stress relief = well ... let's just say not good. In addition to putting Duncan down on Thursday evening, I had some minor foot surgery in the early afternoon.
Friday (today): 1. Sleep = Slept 9 hours last night. Yes. 2. Digestive Enzymes = I took them before breakfast but not the rest of the day. Lunch was a handful of almonds. Dinner was popcorn and chocolate. FAIL 3. Chew chew chew = I did chew today. I figured if I'm going to eat crap, I'd better at least chew it. Go me. 4. Follow gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free diet to a "T" = FAIL. There was some sugar in the dark chocolate. 5. Exercise = Not so much today. My toes are still bleeding/weeping a bit and I needed to stay off my feet. FAIL. 6. Stress relief = Hahahahaha!!! Look at what I ate. BIG GIANT FAIL.
Tomorrow will be better. It's my last day of weekend work for a while. Hopefully forever if this new job pans out (yes I'm still waiting!!).

Don't be hard on yourself.. it's very hard to lose a dear pet friend and then also have had surgery. Nearly anyone would have reached for comfort foods to relieve stress. Even if we know it doesn't work magic.
Wanted to say that the title of your log puts a big smile on my face every time I see it updated
1. Sleep = 8.5 hours and it would have been more if I had not had to get up to go to work. Yes. 2. Digestive Enzymes = I did IF this morning, so only had them before lunch and dinner. But I remembered both times. Yes. 3. Chew chew chew = Getting better about not inhaling my food. Interesting how I don't even feel the need to finish my meals, and I'm not craving sugar afterward since I'm actually chewing my food. Yes. 4. Follow gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free diet to a "T" = Yes. 5. Exercise = Not much again today. My toes are still bleeding and after working all day it seemed like a bad idea. Fail but I'm giving myself a free pass on this one. 6. Stress relief = I watched part of a movie and rested on the sofa with my feet up this afternoon. Better than nothing. Yes.
So all in all a passable day. Of course it is the first sunny day we've had in nearly a month ... and of course I had to work. The past two weekends I haven't had to work, but this weekend I do. Blows. Oh well ...
Julie, I am soooo sorry! It was a year ago this month for Sophie, so I can completely relate. So sorry. I'm glad he lived a good, long life and had your family to call his own for such a long time.
Yesterday's report card ...
1. Sleep = 8 hours and it would have been more if I had not had to get up to go to work. Yes. 2. Digestive Enzymes = I remembered before breakfast and lunch, but not dinner. We had some friends/neighbors (9) over for dinner. With all the cooking, I just forgot. FAIL 3. Chew chew chew = I'll say pretty good. I would forget in the beginning, then when I realized I was inhaling my meal, I would slow down and chew. Yes. 4. Follow gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free diet to a "T" = Yes. 5. Exercise = Cleaning, cooking, and some light yard work. Yes. 6. Stress relief = Relaxed and had fun with friends. Laughed and enjoyed. Yes.
Busy day today as we are getting ready to leave for Goose Pond tomorrow. Praying for sunshine!

Yesterday's report card ...
1. Sleep = 8 hours. Yes.
2. Digestive Enzymes = I really only ate breakfast yesterday. The rest of the day was just snacking. FAIL
3. Chew chew chew = I made sure to chew everything. Yes.
4. Follow gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free diet to a "T" = Yes.
5. Exercise = Laundry, foam rolling, and stretching. Yes.
6. Stress relief = packing and getting ready for Goose Pond. So ... FAIL
Trying to get everything done to go to Goose Pond after lunch. If things are too delayed we'll wait and go up in the morning since the water isn't in yet and we need to do a major cleaning before we could sleep there. Can't wait though!

Wow.... busy stuff here. interesting stuff on the candida. did you have any outwardly visible signs of Candida?

Paula, lots of signs of candida ... if you mean fuzzy white patches in my mouth or something, then no. But my tongue is frequently coated white ... and I get yeast infections at the drop of a hat ... and I've been on corticosteriods for years (for asthma) and broad-spectrum antibiotics 3-4 times yearly for at least 25 years.
Anyhoo ... back from nearly a week at camp ... did "eh" on my report cards.
Sleep was spotty ... Matt is drinking more than usual, so more snoring than usual, so less sleep for me.
Forgot my digestive enzymes a lot of the time.
Chewing, tried to remember, but not chewing turns out to be a hard habit to break!
GFDF diet was followed, but I probably ate some things I should not have regarding the yeast.
Exercise was minimal as it rained Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Stress relief ... I read a lot and felt pretty de-stressed ...
One more day home, then we'll be heading back north ... praying for sunshine!

Wow. Busy few weeks. We've been home a few days each week and gone to NH the rest of the time.
Doing well on my report cards ... happy with overall progress. Feeling sooooo much better ... hardly any black circles under my eyes, better digestive function (why is it that we don't know it's not normal until it gets better?), ZERO cravings ... down 10ish pounds. Feeling and looking so much better. Diet has been really easy to stick to, and seems to keep getting easier. I'm doing some IF ... several days per week going from 7 or 8 pm until noon or 1 pm. Seems to be going well. Happy dance!!
So Wookie, where are you from? Grad year? Greek?
LOL Greg!!

I tried going dairy-free for 2 days, and I'm thinking it's helping a bit... not 100% sure yet, but I'm going to try it a few more days (and also take lactaid pills for questionable foods while we're traveling)... it sucks always feeling bad.
