Don't you just love it when you do a workout and you feel great!? Everything went well, you lifted good weights, you feel great! That's why I sometimes wish I had a training buddy so share things with. Instead I just have to give myself high 5s in my head! Woo yeah! I did good today! I'm going to channel some of your enthusiasm and energy for my w/o tonight.

But we're your training buddies, pixie! Just don't ask us for a spot
Great strong workout Jules...at what point did you get over the fear of boinking yourself on the head with the higher weight overhead things like snatches? I need to work on that (not that I could do a 16kg 1arned snatch yet, I'm still struggling with 12kg)
PB is too sweet already.. try Surinam pb.. that's the bestest!
But then again, I don't eat bread.. just put it on eggs & chicken.
Hey don't worry.. and I don't think it was a binge , just overeating.. binge is about losing total control about your intake. This still sounds pretty 'thoughtful' to me.
As for Ireland.. SO said he liked going there because of the dwarfs.. man do I ever have a romantic guy or what . Hopefully he's not going to be disappointed.. what's the most romantic part of Ireland anyway?
Hijack sorry!!!!
Espi, anywhere in the west of Ireland or the south is absolutely stunning. Connemara, in Galway(the west), is stunning, massive amounts of lakes, great hills to hike, it's magic In the south you can't go wrong with Cork or Kerry. Spent all our summer holidays there and is by far my favorite parts of Ireland. Dublin's okay but not crazy about it(grew up there). Barcelona is a win win too, breathtakingly beautiful, gorgeous trails, gorgeous views, incredible architecture, but is getting pretty damn hot so not the best time to pop over...plus its overrun by tourists right now.
Jules nice freaking job on the workouts girl!!!!!!!!

Um, today! Like I said, when you have only 4 reps before you have to rest on the bench for 2 minutes, you don't want to waste them on easy weights. I was more afraid that the weight would come flying out of my hand at the highest point, but I held on as tight as possible and it went fine. Great fun!
I know I suck at life!!! Haven't had internet for about 6 weeks(nice testament to Spanish customer service there!)but now I do so there's no excuse! It's coming.............
Hey , what better info than having an Irish gal living in Barça.
We're still on the fence.. Ireland sounds great and if we'd go, I'd fly to Cork rather than Dublin but am still scared about how to get around.. walking w a backpack is probably easier than cycling with them (either renting or bringing our own 2 Bromptons ) which makes Barça a nice alternative... or still Austria w our own car as originally planned. Gah.. can we make up our minds already?
How's the hitch-hiking in Ireland anyway? Used to be a totally avid hitch-hiker myself in the past.. if it's still decent , backpacking wouldn't be too bad.
Sorry again about the hijack Juleske.. somehow I had this idea you're all informed about travelling, since you're a Dutchie living in Brussels

Ha yeah but bear in mind my advice is from the late 80's-90's! Cork/Bcn/Austria are probably all win wins though. Cork is really charming though, I have no desire to ever really go back and live in Ireland, but I would visit Cork/Kerry/Galway though. Something different, and summer is ideal for a visit. Riding with the backpacks might be a bit difficult though, but just pack light! People used to hitch-hike quite a bit when I was younger from what I remember, but from a responsible and slightly paranoid perspective meh, I might stay away from that. but that's just me!!
Austria is phenomenal. Went to Salzberg and Hartberg a few years back. Wow. I really want to go back. Oops sorry! Probably effing up your decision making process even more
Keep your head down Jules!!!!! The end is in sight no?!!
BB DL/ROW: 42kg
My boyfriend Jan had taken the squat rack so I set up elsewhere, where there conveniently was a side mirror. Nice to be able to see if my back rounds on the lifts. The squat rack only has a mirror in front, which is only useful to see if I have cleavage (and that's more of an issue on the YTWLs, as Pips is always happy to point out). Wide grip PD: 21kg Single leg squats: 4xx4
Going well. Never know where to leave my other leg. Tried the pistol version, but those are a lot harder. Back extension: 97,5kg
So close to three digits! YTWL: 4kg
These kicked my ass. 4kg is a lot! Intervals Mood: Unsatisfied Even in 4x4, stage 5B is a bit of a wuss. Good thing they tacked on an interval.
Still studying, don't have much to report. Stay tuned for my five week diet wrap-up (hint: I suck), the delight that is my maintenance week ("HOW many dinner parties?"), and my new plan to fit in my pants (hint: it doesn't include pants extensions). Later!
Single leg squats: 4xx4

Use the blue kitchen step, I used it today, was great, I can almost do a full squat now

Hm... I hope Alwyn and Lou don't read these forums, we seem to be butchering their program to the point of making them them cry

Hmms yes! But we don't have one like you linked...
You sure???? It's pretty common. That's why I was in shock at the weight you posted! LOL! I try and hold on to 20 lbs, but even that is a lot for me! I usually just do my extensions with BW.
OH, so that's how you do it!!! I could never figure out the back extension thing so I've done prone cobras wherever possible. In one of the stages Alwyn put in prone cobras and back ext's together, so I just skipped the extensions. I'll give that thing a try next time. I guess I could have looked it up before going to the gym, but I never did. Lazy I guess.
Funny how the one thing they didn't include a picture of was the one thing I couldn't figure out.
I will freely admit that I never fully mastered the back extension thingie, either. I tried, and tried, but never seemed to get the hang of it. And I preferred the prone cobra because I knew I actually got THAT down pat, instead of wondering if I was doing it correctly on the back extension contraption.
And here (the last 12 dots or so) we see the effect of high stress and cortisol on fat loss. Not very positive. I've definitely been eating at a deficit, so technically I could get a woosh after I take my last exam tomorrow and my cortisol levels drop (cortisol leads to insane water retention, apparently). More likely, the cortisol has been working against me all this time (cortisol insanely counteracts fatloss, too, apparently), and I won't see much effect.
I think you've done extremely well to eat at a deficit whilst going through a stressful time. You deserve the whoosh! I want to make graphs too. Do you measure every day?
