Maybe you're missing something. My SO always eats his Quark with special Dutch treacle cookies (not waffles that are more famous & chewy, but the crunchier treacle cookies). He claims this is a special MUSCLE cookie and enables him to grow more musklez
I took some Before pictures yesterday. I wanted to post them then, but I didn't want to spoil anyone's cookie appetite
I took a few hot pants pictures, and they came out nicely. But I soon saw they were ignoring the bigger, or possibly *cough* wider issue. And I figured I should be honest. Because if you can't be honest to a bunch of strangers on the internet, who the hell can you be honest to!
I used to have an hourglass figure but I lost some weight on top and now it's all at the bottom. It's stubborn. It likes me. It wants to stay with me and call me precious.
I've also made sure to look extra grumpy in these pictures, so that when I suck my stomach in and smile happily in a few months or so, everyone will congratulate me on my achievements and buy any fitness equipment I may have used in my awesome transformation

I think Pips may mean in the last pic--you look a little side-tilty in the pelvic region.
Yes! I do use technical terms such as side-tilty!

And Jules, I just wanted to say that now you've declared yourself the resident cookie distributor, you shouldn't be surprised if I pop into your log demanding cookies, or perhaps singing Cookie Monster's various cookie-related songs.

Now you mention it.. it could be Juleske is leaning over on her right side here.
And also now I seek Pips is just another Belgian gal (?) , confused the 2 of you... muscles from Brussels huh ? Thought this only referred to J-C van Damme who's way heavier and no Quark eating vegie
Okay so now I am somewhat jealous. You already have a really nice start to be a bber with that x-frame going on. Damn.... Cookies and a tiny waist too. Some gals get all the luck!

actually, its almost the exact same view I have when watching you do squats, Jules... maybe there's some more work to be done on those glutes

Thanks! And yes, nice for bodybuilding, but for long distance running? Forget it...
Look what Pips got me! And it's not even my birthday yet! How encredibly awesome.
I went to sleep with Maximum Strength under my pillow (what, you don't?) and the morning I did the entire MS mobility warmup before going to the gym. It was pretty painful, but I didn't cry like those sissyboys at Cressey performance! I wanted to map my pain areas but they're simple for me: the closer to the knees you go, the more it hurts. It was great, but the entire warmup took about 25 minutes, making my normal workout even longer (and it was already pretty long).I'll need to fix that somehow.
Anyhow, workout:
Deadlifts: 55kg
My deadlifts are troublesome. Two weeks ago I was hitting 62kg. One week ago I nearly sprained my back doing 62kg, this week 55kg was hard. I'm eating my protein, not losing any muscle, I religiously do warmup sets. All my other lifts are going up. The main problem is the first lift (I don't put the BB down till I'm done with my set). The 'lockout' doesn't feel right. I'm thinking maybe it's because I've been neglecting my core... I'll put in some daily planks and cobras and see if that helps. Lat PD: 24,5kg (up 1kg)
Rawr! Bulgarian split-squats: 10kg
More unstable than usual. Cuban snatch: 2k Reverse lunge: 7k Intervals: Good. I love intervals.
And now to survive a chaotic food-filled weekend. My SO's BFF is over and they like to EAT. Pizza last night (I quickly said "Let's all make our own pizza's, it'll be fun!" and made myself a tuna 'n veg pizza without cheese. I am the craftiest). Indian tonight. Let's see if i can be crafty enough to avoid the naan (hmmmm naan).
Leaning onto one side when posing like preferring to rest on just the heel of your right foot is not bad if it is just coincidence, but since this is often because something can be wrong, like having a longer left leg or your left leg hurting or whatever... it can be bad.
It is worrisome when you also do this when you are bogged down with a heavy weight.
Different leg length is the most common reason for this if I remember correctly.
Oh, and congrats on the foam roller.. mine is half as thick as it is just a 2 euro swimming pool noodle . Yours is waaaay better of course.
Plus another congrats on your book MaxStrength as well as on your crafty cooking.
Finally: whatever you do, keep writing KG, we are going to teach dem Merkans (Canadians and Usonians) to convert to kilograms & grams.. we got them converted for weighing food in grams already.. now just the weight lifted too. Those that do Olympic lifting already work in kg

I do When squatting my hips tilt something awful. Right side up, if i recall. My PT once said my one leg was a bit shorter (he was basing this on my hip stance), the douchebag specialist tried a good while to find it (who based it on my feet while i was sitting or lying down) couldn't find anything.
Still, with the state my legs were in 5 years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if my hip flexors severely deteriorated too.
Damm, I would pay gold for a really good PT diagnositic just to go over my entire body and tell me what bits are lagging and what bits are okay. Just guessing and finding out over time is very bothersome
Hey, Jules, I got some news for you....you do have an hourglass figure! LOL, what are you talking about "used to!" See, this is why they say youth is wasted on the young.

Haha, so true. I have pictures and home movies from my teens, when my body image was the worst it had ever been, and I looked so gorgeous, all limbs and awkardness! It's not just that way for the young though

I think I have this problem from years of carrying kids only on the right hip. Does something like that make it worse?
I'm avoiding cookies in June, but want to get subscribed here.

I think its rather that one hip flexor is too tight. Better foamroll it lots

I'm rolling like crazy, insides and outsides of my legs have turned out to be pretty tight. Foamroller isn't good for the piriformis though, so using good old tennisball for that.
Foamroll I like best: along the spine while hugging myself. *pop* *pop* *pop* Foamroll I like worst: outsides of my thighs.

That foam roller looks nice. I want to get one for myself, but have to reign in my fitness-gadget obsession for now, LOL.
Aha, but this is no mere gadget! It's the super-self-myofascial-release-holy-grail-of-health-and-recovery! I am converted to preaching the gospel of foam. If foam rollers were on facebook I would be 'a fan'.
