I just realized that you're in Canada. Did you order your GWF directly, or have someone in the US order it and forward it to you? I'm not in the market for one at the moment, but I thought they weren't selling them outside the US.

Yup...I ordered it but shipped it to somebody in the States who then forwarded it to me.

Keep at the pushups; they'll get better (that's what I tell myself, anyway--though I haven't done any for around a month since they're not part of the first part of OPT...).

How was your "surprise" b-day party?

Was that "cake" from Edible Arrangements? I love their stuff. Most of it's pretty healthy, but it still looks decadent!

And re: pushups, I'll echo Scribess' words and just keep plugging away at them. Trust me, there will come a point in time where you can do just pound them out after plenty of practice. One thing that really helped me out in the pushups journey is doing long yoga plank holds, both in the regular plank position, and also in the close-grip, tricep hold like this. For the latter, just get yourself into the "B" position, and hold it for as long as you can.

Hey Melissa,

Just popping in to say HI...and that I want your "cake". Wow, that looked good.

Seriously, I'm interested to follow your progress on NROL...it's one of my programs for someday (after OPT and maybe one other)

Yup it is an edible arrangement....it's such a great idea... I send them as gifts and FINALLY got one back!!! I'd take the fruit over cake any day.

Thanks for the plank tips...so I tried to get myself into position B...didn't happen...it was killing my wrists...I was able to do the plank position (leaning on my forearms) for a whopping 7 seconds...wow it's freaking hard...I'm going to keep at it but I kind of collapsed after the 7 seconds because it put a lot of strain on my lower back.

Push Up

Bent Over Row
54/10, 54/10, 54/10
* I had a lot of trouble at the end...I'm going to have to go down on the weight...by the last 2 reps my right arm was giving up on me and the bar was being pulled up in a diagonal way. BAD form

Step-Up
Using step with 3 risers

Using step with 4 risers
BW/10

Prone Jackknife

This workout KICKED MY BUTT....I don't know if it was the change in format to 3 sets or because it was so freaking humid out but I was panting by the end of it!

Wow so back to reality!! It was nice having 2 months off work but I totally forgot how much I hate being on my feet for 8+ hours straight.... it also make exercise less appealing since I have to do it after work when I'm tired. Also now that I'm back to work I have less time to mindlessly play on the internet. Oh well...such is life Oh and totally unrelated I have been obsessively working my way through the Twilight book series...I'm going to finish it tonight *sigh*
