I just realized that you're in Canada. Did you order your GWF directly, or have someone in the US order it and forward it to you? I'm not in the market for one at the moment, but I thought they weren't selling them outside the US.
Sorry to hear about your busted GWF. Lucky that you got to find out early, it would have been really disappointing if you would've waited until your birthday and then found out.

Hopefully the next one will be problem-free!

Yup...I ordered it but shipped it to somebody in the States who then forwarded it to me.
Push Up

WOW I still suck so much at these
Bent Over Row
54/12, 54/12

Well after being off work for almost 3 months now...I'm back to work on Monday. I'm glad that I had this time off and have been able to focus on my exercise and nutrition.
Keep at the pushups; they'll get better (that's what I tell myself, anyway--though I haven't done any for around a month since they're not part of the first part of OPT...).
How was your "surprise" b-day party?

Maybe one day I'll be able to do push ups against the counter...they are just so freaking hard!! Oh well...I'm just keeping at it haha
My party was great!! The day was perfect and sunny...great day for a BBQ....here is a pic of me and my "cake"...it was sooo yum!!!
Mmm, I have kiwifruit as part of my afternoon snack. 45 more minutes...

Was that "cake" from Edible Arrangements? I love their stuff. Most of it's pretty healthy, but it still looks decadent!
And re: pushups, I'll echo Scribess' words and just keep plugging away at them. Trust me, there will come a point in time where you can do just pound them out after plenty of practice. One thing that really helped me out in the pushups journey is doing long yoga plank holds, both in the regular plank position, and also in the close-grip, tricep hold like this. For the latter, just get yourself into the "B" position, and hold it for as long as you can.
Hot damm, that looks delicious!! Man, why weren't we invited

Yup it is an edible arrangement....it's such a great idea... I send them as gifts and FINALLY got one back!!! I'd take the fruit over cake any day.
Thanks for the plank tips...so I tried to get myself into position B...didn't happen...it was killing my wrists...I was able to do the plank position (leaning on my forearms) for a whopping 7 seconds...wow it's freaking hard...I'm going to keep at it but I kind of collapsed after the 7 seconds because it put a lot of strain on my lower back.

Nice workouts...the push-ups will come. Keep at it!
Push Up
against the door/10, against the door/10, against the door/10
Bent Over Row
54/10, 54/10, 54/10
* I had a lot of trouble at the end...I'm going to have to go down on the weight...by the last 2 reps my right arm was giving up on me and the bar was being pulled up in a diagonal way. BAD form
Step-Up
Using step with 3 risers
BW/10, BW/10
Using step with 4 risers
BW/10
Prone Jackknife
12, 12, 12
evil, evil, evil
Plank 7 seconds.
This workout KICKED MY BUTT....I don't know if it was the change in format to 3 sets or because it was so freaking humid out but I was panting by the end of it!
Wow so back to reality!! It was nice having 2 months off work but I totally forgot how much I hate being on my feet for 8+ hours straight.... it also make exercise less appealing since I have to do it after work when I'm tired. Also now that I'm back to work I have less time to mindlessly play on the internet. Oh well...such is life Oh and totally unrelated I have been obsessively working my way through the Twilight book series...I'm going to finish it tonight *sigh*
