Did someone say Jamoca Almond Fudge? That's my SECOND most favorite Baskin Robbins flavor (my fave was always Chocolate Mint). Good job getting your workouts done!

oh my, you guys had to remind me of B&R AND Jamoca Almond Fudge! It's been at least two weeks since I've had any. Although last week I had Ben & Jerry's coconut 7 layer bar and chocolate therapy.

Welcome Julie! Yeah, it was clear to me that I'm losing slowly because I'm still acting like I'm eating for 3 :P Well, doing better lately and have even lost a couple of lbs

Just popping in to say...damn you guys and your ice cream talk! I've been thinking about Baskin Robbins ice cream for the last couple days now. I'm thinking a scoop of chocolate mint and one of jamoca almond fudge on a sugar cone please!

Are those PU--pushups, or pullups? Or something to do with diaper changes maybe?

Glad you survived the baby screaming. I always felt so guilty when my little ones were unhappy in nursery--but yep, we all survived.

and...you sound so excited about that mom and baby class! lol

oops, PU=push ups. Haven't done pull-ups yet post pregnancy :O I should try to see if I can still do a chin up.

Actually did want to go to the class, moreso to meet other moms than for the exercise. Would be good activity.

sooo week of excuses so far. Tues cardio day had eye infection so went to doc instead of class. Wed was Canada Day and we had family over. Thu went to movie with friend (yeah, lame excuse for no gym, but I do have to make an effort to be social). Thu nap time was off and I think I just missed my moment of opportunity. Fri Ansley had hearing test at daddy's hospital. Sat synagogue with daddy. Today????? I'm hoping.

Did get in lots of walks though. That sseems to work out in the evening when gym doesn't happen morning/early afternoon.

Meeting other moms should rank as high on your to-do list as exercising. The combo of exercise and mommy friends is what keeps me off the meds!

Thanks Wookie! It's actually part of our routine, so I think it helps us both. Me time and nap time. Plus gives us something to do during the day.

Sooo, started new program Tuesday...slow to update

tues 7/7

1) BB Squat: 8x95lbs, 8x105lbs
was too cautious here, should start at 115 next time

2a) db inclined press: 2x12x25lbs
2b) standing 1 arm low cable row: 2x12x30lbs

3a) supinated lean away pull down: 2x12x35 (each handle)
3b)face pull: 2x12x30lbs (each handle)

4) side plank w/ feet elevated 12": 2x15sec
this was interesting, could feel it more in glute med

good workout, did feel like a 'real' workout again. Forgot what that felt like until I did one

Yesterday:
intervals: 60secx4 w 60sec rests - squats w/ ansley strapped to me .

yesterday

Wk 1 Strength 2

1) BB Bench PRess: 8x60lbs, 8x65lbs

2) assisted chins: 2x8
supposed to use bands but forgot them, used machine instead. Hard!

3a) reverse lunges: 2x8x30lbs
3b) SHELC 2x12
Actually supersetted 2 and 3a as I didn't look at my program correctly. That would've been extra killer as those SHELC kicked my butt, litterally!

4a)single leg bridge: 2x6x5secs
4b) plank with leg rasie: 2x6x5secs

phew...serious workout. Am sore and tired today. Feels great!

2b) low cable row: 2x12x30lbs

3a) lean away pulldown: 2x12x70lbs

I've never eaten any flavor, as far back as I can remember (probably did as a child) other that Jamoca Almond Fudge at BR.

I was driving the other day and saw a url ad on the back of a car the other day. I couldn't wait to get home as I couldn't believe that babies really needed to be part of a boot camp. I felt relieved after I looked it up though.

So I finished Wk 2 in Little Rock at JP Fitness Center. They've added new equipment and moved stuff around. don't have the power rack or the lat pulldown machine anymore, so I had to use assisted chin machine and wide grips on the lat pulldown.

Funny story on my bench press. Friday I thought I was WEAK on those but did better on chin ups. When I was telling Russ about it, I realized I had loaded the bar with 90lbs instead of 70lbs :P I got a couple of reps but thought no way was I going to get 8 :P I kept peeling off the weight until I finally got to 75lbs x8, I think. I guess I was having a brain dead day.

start wk 3 today. MUST do intervals this week...we had to work out in shifts cause we couldn't bring in the baby, so I skimped there. although should've made time to do some at home.

yeah, we always seem to hit the gym while in LR. Convenient since JP's old place and fun to go there. Plus fam works during the day anyway.

Ansley did pretty well traveling...some screaming on the plane, but only one time had to take her out of her car seat to nurse. She fussed less the time to Charleston when I didn't have a seat for her and held/nursed her the entire time nearly.

Wk 3 Strength 1

foam rolling/activation at home
mobility warm-up

1) BB Squat: 8x115lbs, 8x125lbs
115 was pretty easy, although felt it. 125 pretty hard but I should try for full plate Sat...a little chicken but should do it anyway

2a) db incline press: 2x10x35lbs, 8x35lbs (couldn't get last 2)
2b) low cable row: 3x10x35lbs (hard)

3a) lean away supinated pulldown: 3x10x70lbs
3b) face pull: 2x10x35 (not sure if 35lbs or 70 as it says 35lbs for each handle, but I used a rope

4) side plank w/feet elevated 12ish inches: 2x20secs

done.

russ walked little one around and then we went for a burger. I added fries to my no eat list (duh, finally). It was good.
