Well, it sounds like a (mostly) fun day. I can't wait till it's warm enough to actually swim here... I would have been upset about the way the whole situation was handled also.
Wow, I'd be SO pissed at the pool/lifeguard staff! Not that I'd want Jack (or any kid) to get hurt, but... sheesh! Little guys don't like being told "swim the pool and you can do the slide" and then being told "you're too little"... poor Jack!
Yeah, neither Michael nor I were very happy, but what can you do? We stated our piece and made them VERY aware of our displeasure without making a scene, but then you have to teach your kids they have to obey the rules even when they SUCK!
Celeste, no nap today. My dad came over twice during nap time and since I was on the couch I was awakened from my almost slumber TWICE! I'm really feeling it now! How about you?
Ooh, is your dad my dad? LOL he pops in all the time! Sorry you didn't get any sleepytime... Me, no, but I'm not pregnant. I do seem to have insomnia lately, along with no appetite and nausea. NO I'm not pregnant!
Coach: You have to be able to hit
Me: (Hit bombs way out of the park in tryouts)
Coach: You have to be able to throw
Me: (Clocked at 88mph)
Coach: You have to be able to run
Me: (ran the second-fastest 60-yd dash in all tryouts)
Coach: You have to be able to translate these skills to the field
Me: (Looks around at varsity-level players I dominated every summer in league ball)
....
Coach: Yeah, we don't have a place for you, thanks.
Really, if somebody isn't going to be allowed to do something, just say so. Don't create hurdles in hopes of dissuading them, then act shocked if they actually clear the hurdles.

You won't believe it but..........A WORKOUT!! Crazy, I know.
Pigeon stretching, foam rolling (quad, inner and outer thigh), clam shells, bridges, fire hydrants.
Neutral grip shoulder press, bicep curl, lat pull down on an REALLY funky machine.
.8 miles on the treadmill
Felt too easy, but good. It was nice to see my hubby in the middle of the day!
Well, it's official: we've started making room for sweet baby Luke. We gave Jack's twin bed frame to a friend who's little girl is getting her "big girl bed" today! And I'm starting to go through closets! Yeah!
Appointment today was fine...even with the kiddos. Thank goodness for the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything!
Weight was WAY up, but I told her I've been fighting water retention in a big way the past few days as evidenced by my wedding ring not moving and my toes being so pudgy. The thing that saved me and made my story more believable was that my blood pressure was PERFECT: 110/67. My belly measured perfectly 27.5 weeks so we're moving right along.
I got GREAT news: I'll actually be able to swim in the lake at our family lake vacation in a couple of weeks! I thought I'd have to skip on that this year, but the midwife said, "You've got a closed cervix and a mucus plug so I don't see a problem!" YEAH!!
And she was totally cool with me coming every three weeks for a while (instead of every TWO). Yeah for that too!
Kids go to Little Gym tomorrow morning. They should have a blast! I may try to get a workout and swim in tomorrow after nap since we're having left overs for supper. I did exercise on Friday right before our family swim time...so that was twice last week. I'm hoping to get at least two if not three workouts in this week.
Well, I've never plucked a rooster
and I'm not too good at ping-pong
and I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall
and I've never kissed a chipmunk,
and I've never gotten head lice
and I have never been to Boston in the fall

thanks Sinead. Certainly no need to feel behind on this news, you've got your own hands busy enough!
No formal workout today although I did remove the van seats and began the hard work of cleaning out that nasty place. Ugg! How did my van get that dirty??! Gross! I'll have to finish tomorrow as it was getting too dark and I was wearing down. I'll finish tomorrow AM.
Today's workout: helping Jack steer/push Jack through the really high grass in his new truck. We live right in front of the little league fields for our community and right beside them is an open grassy, unmowed area. Holy smokes, I shoulda worn my SI Lock brace!!!
Speaking of my brace, I've decided that I need to wear it at night. Much better nights sleep last night, lots less pain when wearing it.
And does anyone know if Walmart has a price gaurantee thingy, b/c we paid more for Jack's truck last week than what they are selling it for now????
