OH my goodness, those are HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!
Well, she can get away with three or four, right?!
I like them all...but if I had to choose, hmmm.
Knocked up
Redhead
Backrub
Brunettes
*Those shirts ALMOST make me want to get pregnant again!...
Eats are in control. Aragon said I could eat what I wanted as long as I don't pig out on anything. So that's what I'm doing. And happily I don't think I've gained much if any weight this month. I go on Thursday for my monthly check up.
I think I'm already having Braxton-Hicks contractions. Either that or this fist sized baby is already too big for my uterus! There's some serious pressure in there sometimes. Nothing painful, just TIGHT!!
I'm in maternity clothes. Have been for a couple of weeks. The shirts look WAY silly, and the pants/skirts are sinched their tightest notches, but I just didn't want to be restricted any more.
Today I've proved to myself once again that a banana and coffee is just not enough in my stomach to take my vitamins with. It's really set my energy back quite a bit. There was no vomiting, but I had my escape route from the van VERY well planned out.
The month of Feb has been full of sickness. Samantha flu and continued skin issues from the over reaction of her immune sys; Jack fever for five days then antibiotic for five days. Three days off and he ran fever again on Friday. Nothing on Saturday but Sunday evening he started crying saying his ear hurt. This morning same thing. Tylenol seems to help a lot, but seriously, what do I do? Do I call the dr back and go in to have them check? That's $80 a pop that comes straight out of our pocket. Do I just ask them to refill his antibiotics? I HATE this high deductible insurance plan...it makes me second and third and fourth guess caring for my children.
And Friday we also learned that Michael's 80 yr old GD had a stroke. Luckily he was already in the hospital so they were able to treat it rapidly but it's started the conversations that needed to be had about 1 year ago. Kinda stressful.
I got taxes done last week. Cha-ching! And I did workout last week. Some cardio on the treadmill and core/SI joint work. YEAH! Laundry and grocery store are probably all I get done today. I'm worn out already!
Wow. You've been hit by everything but plagues of locusts. I hope it gets better pronto.
PS. I'm curious what kind of SI joint things you are doing.

Well, I'm not insane and Jack's not a wuss. He does have another ear infection (or the previous one didn't get cleared up) and very large tonsils.
Bless his heart! He fell asleep waiting for the doctor, then on the way to Sam's for the Rx, then on the way home. And I transferred him to his bed with nada wake-ups. I should have taken Tylenol with me to the Dr.s office but I forgot it. I'm certain he'll be needing some when he wakes.
Clove, I labeled that poorly. Really what I'm doing is core and glute strengthening. I have very loose hip joints during pregnancy. I guess it works well in the delivery room, but until then it can be pretty painful, so I'm trying to get my C and G strong so that there's not so much pressure on the SI joint...I probably phrased that poorly, but that's what you get today!
I'm down for a rest until time to get the big girl...
Man, there just HAS to be a "red moon rising" joke in there somewhere. I'll find it. Until then, continued luck treading water with the kiddies. At least there are no dietary limitations

Otto had that problem as a kid. Some ear infection that didn't clear up because they gave him the generic antibiotic. It's just less effective for some people, I guess, since the active ingredients are the same but the matrix is different and can affect absorption and effectiveness. Good luck with that. poor little dude.

Oh man... Sorry to hear about poor Jack. Ear infections so suck and especially when they cost you 80 dollars a whack out of pocket. I am crossing my fingers that things get better for you.
And LOL at Diane!
BTW: I cannot take vitamins either on an empty stomach. Makes my gut ache HUGE. I generally take them at night since I eat heavier at night.

So, Tuesday I went to the "mental health" doc, and we decided to put me on a low dose of Levoxil due to an low thyroid level. It's actually a high number, but this is like golf, the higher the number the worse off. Kinda confusing.
We'll try this dose for a month and see how it goes. Redo blood work and adjust as necessary. Vitamin D and B were low as well, but he thinks we'll need to address all of this post delivery.
I'm hoping that maybe after I stop bfeeding someone will wonder why does this seemingly healthy woman have hypothyroidism?? And we'll get to the bottom of it. Maybe.
As for today, Jack is going to school! Yahoooo! and I'm headed to the midwives for my monthly checkup and 1 hour glucose test. I read last night that dr's want to test women who've delivered babies weighing greater than 8.8 pounds. Jack weighed 9.4 at 38 weeks and Samantha weighed 7.2 at 35 weeks. Hello, my name's Jamie and I grow big babies.
Then I hope to have a really yummy Subway sandwich with my husband.

Try 10.5 and 10.9. And I was 12lbs.
9.4 and 7.2? Amateurs...

Appointment went well. The drink wasn't too bad. We'll see early next week what's what with gestational diabetes.
I only gained 1.5 lbs over the last month. Yeah and double yeah!
We had to search a bit for Baby So-and-so's heart beat, but she did find it and it was a beautiful sound. I go back in 5 weeks for the anatomy US and will probably bring Samantha along. Should be fun!
Not good on the glucose tolerance screening. It was just a one hour screening and I was out of range. So, now I have to figure out when to go back in to have the 3 hour full test. Tomorrow Jack has school, which would normally be a GREAT day to do it, but it's his special Rodeo day with crafts and a petting zoo, and I was planning on going to that. Friday is Samantha's Field Day and I've volunteered to help with that. And next week, we were planning on being gone to AR on Spring Break. I could stick around and go Monday afternoon after a test Monday morning, I guess.
