A belated Happy Anniversary to you and Jamie. Ten years for you must seem like so much more for Jamie. Great news on the job front for you. It's nice to know that people recognize the effort you put in.

Roland needs to start a bed and breakfast, btw.

Nice.

So, you'll either get a promotion or raise, or get fired/demoted/on someone's shit list.

Thanks gang! (If readers are wondering, elsewhere it was announced that RedWifey and I gonna have another baby. Duedate probably early September. We saw heartbeat and arm/leg movement at doc this week.)

The job stuff is interesting. I really have no idea where it's headed. All I know is that I truly respect the new company President, and as he gets started over the next couple of weeks I'm looking forward to seeing what he does. I've definitely noticed our CEO pulling his hands out of the business over the past few months, and it was extremely frustrating because I interpreted it as giving up. He knew he didn't have the leadership here to run the business without him, but he wasn't even trying.

Now I know it's because he didn't want to tie the hands of the new guy.

It was funny yesterday because we had our first leadership meeting with the Prez openly listening in on the phone. Some people were really posturing for him. I had my quietest meeting ever, because I didn't have anything positive to say, and I'm not concerned with early impressions. We just all need to do our best jobs possible and be the best employees we can -- smart leaders will notice that in their people regardless of the superficial appearance. I don't play political games at work and if that's what it takes to get ahead I decided long ago that it wasn't worth it.

Back to work now.

Congrats on the expecting another child - and yes, getting noticed for your work, rather than your politicking is the best way to go.

Oh my! Congrats (I think) on the new addition. LOL! I am soooo on the other side of that, I cannot even imagine anymore. My baby is 24 years old now.

And agreed RE the work. Sounds like you are playing it right. It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out.

Thanks, everybody! We've got lots of time to wait but I'm kinda eager to meet the little twerp. Will it be a redheaded boy? A blonde or brunette girl? With me and RW's genetics there's no telling what sort of cool combo will emerge. All I know is that he/she will probably be tall, smart and introverted.

Paula, that video was cool! I think Samantha's detector's gonna need more power for that kind of stuff. Can Bob come over and rig something?

Worked out today:

Hip/knee prehab
GHR
Inverted rows
T-pushups
GHR
RPoD
YWTL

Our friends have 3 girls - one red, one brown, one blonde... genetics are fun! Mom and dad both have brown hair (although some red runs in mom's family).

Yeah, Shawn and I ended up with two redheads, one blonde, and a brunette. And I have brown hair and Shawn is part american indian--weird genetics...

PLUS both of us are left-handed but we didn't end up with any lefties in the family. how sad...

Celeste, we're both left handed, too, but it appears we'll have two righties so far.

LOL!!! Well I've been called lots of things!

As for the postman, Shawn always said our redheads were the mailman's...only she's a girl. But she does have red hair.

Worked out today:

Hip/leg prehab and stretching
DB snatches -- lots of sets but didn't go heavier than 65lbs b/c DB rack was too crowded and the big ones were being used
Bench pistols
Back extensions

Daughter is sick tonight, fever, vomiting, skin rash... full-blown exorcist stuff around here. I had planned on blogging and piano practice tonight but those may have to wait.
