Heck, throw the 35's at him! You know you can!

Awesome front squats! I am amazed beyond words! Keep it up!

So on the Superbowl discussion, I'm peeved b/c dh won't plan anything, besides he's sorta giving me the silent treatment (since friday, no less, grrr), and I bet we're going to do the same stupid thing we did last year for the superbowl. Nothing. I cook, I clean, we have no company, and he falls asleep on the floor. Grr. Sorry. (Not really)

Wow, you really do have some rude people at your gym don't you? Sorry about the jerk. But great workout!

Bree,
We need to get a posse (yeah, I said it) of us gals here and make a visit to your gym, LOL. Of course, there seem to be a good bit of asses at my gym, too.
Your workout was awesome, as usual. Nice job!

Ooooh I love cornbread! Good idea. I might have to do that And mixing the trukey with beef might work for me. Its just that distinct taste and smell of the turkey I got sick of. I will get over it soon I am sure.

Thanks Celeste! Sorry your DH is being a dork. We usually never had big plans for super bowl either. And actually they aren't that big besides us making lots of food and having a couple people over. Most likely just some family - my bro and DH's bro's family.

Thanks everyone! The workouts are starting to wear on me to be honest.

Anyway, about the asshat - the more that i thought about it I wish I would have said something. I always think of the good comebacks after the fact! I would have been polite but the safety thing was more of a concern for me, since there were other people around, too.

Here is what I did last night:

Wednesday

Treadmill intervals (7 work intervals)

5 min warm up @ 5.5
1 min @ 8.2
2 min @ 5.5, then I increased the incline to 1.0 for the rest
1 min @ 8.5
2 min @ 5.5, 4 times and for the last one....
1 min @ 9.0 - I was inspired by Bytsi!
8 min coold down @ 5.5
8 min walk
40 min total

As I said earlier I am feeling tired. My weight is yo-yoing between 140-141. I know its silly to worry about, but its so strange. My body fat has trended down this week though. (as accurate as the tanita is who knows) I guess that is one good thing. I am bloated this week becasue of t.o.m, so I don't think I will see any more loss for this months weigh in.

I started to wonder if I was working too hard. The Fat Loss III workouts are hard and I will be glad to be done with them. I have the last on on Saturday, then I think next week I might just do some lighter lifting to get some recovery in. I don't know if I need it or not, but I definitely feel tired this week. I was thinking some 3 sets of 10 stuff following loosely the Fat Loss II lifts. Then its probably on to Built for Show's spring plan.

Grrr I just remembered that we have a sales rep lunch at work today. One of those things I have to participate in. Its usually sandwiches and I can usually find a lean meat option and control it. The problem is I never really know how much to record for tracking. I don't like not knowing!

Happy Birthday! I always get me something too!

A rest week sounds nice. Especially after all the hard work you've been putting in. You're workouts are killer.

WOOOHOOOO! You are gonna LOVE the GWF!!!!! Happy Birthday to you, indeed!

As for resting - DEFINATELY listen to what your body is telling you and take it easy. You have been busting ass so some down time will probably do you good!!

Thanks Christina! I am horrible about actually resting, but it will be lighter in the lifting department for sure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I know I am so excited! I will most likely be using money I get from my parents and in-laws for it. Last year I used that money for my adjustable dumbbells! I wonder how many years in a row I can get fitnes related birthday gifts?

Oh and not that it matters, the actual birthday is on Sunday. Super Bowl Bree. Thanks for the wishes everyone! I am really excited for this weekend.

Okay, so I have to admit I was sort of dreading my workout last night. Mostly because I felt I would be tired from not eating enough. We had a sales rep lunch and it was half sandwiches, kettle chips, and cookies. The usual. I took a half turkey sandwich that had swiss, mayo and some kind of quac spread. I took off the cheese and tried to get rid of most of the saucy stuff, but after doing my best to guess what I ate, I was over my usual calories I eat for lunch! All for a stupid half sandwich. Sigh.

But...to my surprise i felt realyl energized for this:

Thursday
NROL Fat Loss III, A6 - whoohoo! Last one!

Giant sets, done 4 times with no rest until after each set:

Deadlift:
10 x 115

Explosive push up: (this wasn't really all that explosive)
10 x BW

Bulgarian Split Squat:
10 x 30's

Two Point DB Row:
10 x 25's

Giant set with no rest, 2 times through:

Deadlift from box:
20 x 85

DB Bench Press:
20 x 45 - did the bar because all the free weight benches were taken

Walking Lunge w/side bend:
20 x 10's - STILL HATE!

Cable Seated Row:
20 x 45 first set
20 x 65 - most at this many reps

And abs at the end, (normal set subbed prone jackknife)
Hanging Leg Raise
2 x 10 x BW

And for some reason I felt compelled to do this:
RDL 10 x 65
Bench press 10 x 65, 8 x 65

HR monitor data: 47 minutes, 450 cals burned, 176 max, 154 average

I am really excited to see how off the HR monitor numbers are compared to the GWF.

Tonight I am doing double duty - going to DH's game at 6 then to my bro's game which starts at 7, but the drive between the two will be about 25 minutes so I will most likely miss the 1st period. Tomorrow is another game of my bro's in the afternoon, thenwe are going to go have dinner somewhere and then meeting friends around 8 for drinks.

I plan on doing my last Fat Loss III workout tomorrow morning. Whoo hoo! Then I am going to make my best effort to get in some treadmill time at the gym on Sunday morning. Monday might be a complete day off, but I will try to get to the gym when DH has to go to practice. We are both taking Monday off so I couldn't be more excited for a 3 day weekend and a fun one at that!

I will be back either later tonight or tomorrow sometime to post pics and stats.

Ugh, your workouts are way amazing! Congrats on the GWF and happy birthday!

Sorry about venting in here earlier. Ski season is hard b/c there are lots of nights with very little sleep for dh, so things usually get a little rocky at some points. I went grocery shopping this morning and I'm more excited about cooking for my family and all hanging out together now.

Yup I did! Mine said it shipped last night. It is "in transit" but I am dying to get it! It said est. delivery is the 5th, but hopefully it will be sooner.

Thanks Celeste! Vent away! I can only imagine the stress of running such a business. My dad owns a retail sports equipment store and running your own business sounds very exhausting - esp. when you are working with your husband. I haven't been a peach to my DH this week either, I feel bad. I am in much better spirits now that I am t-minus one hour away from the weekend!

I forgot to mention my great deal I got last night....I stopped at Old Navy on a whim on my way home from the gym and found a $70 winter coat for $10! They were having an extra 50% off sale. Its a waist length, "puffy" style coat with faux fur trimmed hood.

I also am super sore all over right now. Those RDL's really got my hammies. And I went much deeper in the deadlift from box and widened my grip and can feel it all over. Its amazing how a little more ROM even at the same weight can make such a difference.

Anyway, just rambling on here. I will stop now

Happy early birthday! I was thinking about getting myself a GWF for my b-day too... but I don't think it's in the very tight budget right now. Bah. Oh well, I will just live vicariously through you!

Thanks you guys! Everyone here is so cool I am so glad I found this place

So I have a busy day planned but I wanted to get my post in for the check in.

here is what I did yesterday:

NROL Fat Loss III, B6 - DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Giant Set with no rest, 4 times

Front Squat:
3 sets of 10 x 75
1 set of 10 x 85

Underhand grip lat pulldown:
10 x 85

Step Up: (bench at knee height)
10 x 20's

DB Push Press:
10 x25's

Giant set with no rest, 2 times through:

Back Squat
20 x 75

Wide Grip Lat Pulldown
20 x 65

Step Up:
20 x 15's

DB shoulder press:
20 x 15's

Swiss ball crunch
2 x 10 x 4# medicine ball, slow count 2 up and 2 down

Overall a good workout. I felt good compared to past sat. morning workouts.

I was thinking of getting to the gym today to just walk on the treadmill, but I think dh and I are going to get outside for a walk! It was so warm here yesterday. He actually said "I feel like we should open some windows or something" even though it was probably only in the 40's. But if you have been used to the 0's, it feels like summertime!

Well I feel bad not catching up on logs - I will tomorrow so hope everyone has a great day and a fun superbowl if you are partying

Challenge starting stats:

Height: 5'7"
Weight: 142.4
Body fat: ??? (my guess is around 22-25% please feel free to comment)
Waist: 27"
Arms @ bicep: 10.5"
Waist @ hipbone: 34"
Thigh above knee: 19"
Thigh @ Mid point: 22"
Thigh @ top: 24"

Feb. Stats:

Height: 5'7"
Weight: 140.4 -2
Body fat: ???
Waist: 27"
Arms @ bicep: 10.5"
Waist @ hipbone: 33.5" -.5
Thigh above knee: 18.5" -.5
Thigh @ Mid point: 21.5" -.5
Thigh @ top: 23.5" -.5

So depending on if I measured right, there was some reductions. My weight bounced between 140-141 all month. I am hoping to see the 130's in February! I think my new Go Wear Fit will help me accomplish this

I completed NROL Fat Loss III. This week I am going to do some light lifting on my own to give my body a break from the intensity of FLIII. I will most likely start Built for Show's spring program the following week.

So are you going to do a bulk soon? You already look smashing but could perfect it with some muscle.

I would say that 20% or thereabout is probably right.
