Just caught up on your log. G-D lady! I'm seriously blown away. And, officially jealous of your carb loading. I'll get some more of those in a week though, so I won't be homicidally envious or anything.

oh tina, I know how much you abhor running. so excited for you and worlds! would totally be there if I didn't have that little thing called "career" that interferes with my training and my socializing. just kidding! most days I heart my job.

trying to drink lots of water today. I am retaining fluid so big time, and I would like it to leave. now.

ok, so speaking of low brow food and beer, ed and I happened upon the new bud select 55 while we were grocery shopping this afternoon.

12 ounces, 55 calories, light, and refreshing to this florida native's palate. I have always been a budweiser girl, so I prefer this beer to miller 64. of course, what made it even better was the company (my incredibly handsome, fit husband) and the scenery (our new kayak rack/deck/deer stand/adventure race viewing tower/nature observatory/alfresco wine-beer tasting center/sunset photo op area).

I totally agree with roland on this one. I could have been drinking the 99 cent per 6 pack PBR from my college days and would have been totally satisfied. love being married to a guy who is equally comfortable with Budweiser or Chateauneuf du pape. loves me regardless of whether I am cooking one of my fish specialty dishes or whether I make a frozen kashi pizza, or we both eat cereal. or go get a chicago style hot dog. yep roland, the kind with all of the nitrites and red dyes. I guess I am a food snob with a stack full of get-out-of-foodie-snobdom-free cards. a card-carrying foodie with an asterisk*
*caution, may return to florida low brow roots. beware of freshly shot venison and brunswick stew with real squirrel.

sunset from saturday night from the deck. this is our canal that goes to the creek (tidal waters) . the creek goes to the intracoastal to the left and to an old sugar mill ruin from 1820's to the right. lots of gators, lots of fish, the deer hang in that marsh. birds. mullet jumping right now.

this is old florida!!

ok, work break over, back to my other screen

That is a gorgeous view!

I was unaware of this new bud select 55. I have the same view as you when it comes to beer...I love the good stuff, but can enjoy a low brow brew as equally. And whats this about 99 cent PBR? Awesome!

thanks y'all.

lol bree. 99 cent six packs of beer stopped sometime the 80's. back in the olden days we used to be able to get PBR, shaeffer's and the generic BEER for 99 cents a six. I feel like I am channeling my 80 something patients who talk about buying cigarettes for a quarter a pack, lol.

You can get $2.99 six packs at TJ's, but you have to like cans of Simpler Times (lager or pilsner) or Red Oval (which I do like).

both were fab, greg!

oooh, life is on hyperdrive these days. if you find me on page 2, just know that I am trying to get caught up!

have finally lost the marathon bloat, and I am betting I see a new low when I get back from my trip this weekend. and that new low is totally creatine loaded, so it will be a really low low for me!!!~

tomorrow before my drive to orlando for business, I am doing a 6 mile run, 5 of them at my marathon race pace. on saturday, I will do 3 x 1 mile repeat at my marathon run interval. a lot of what I will do for the next 8 weeks will be race pace stuff.

I have my costume picked out for the halloween run, I am going as a green m & m with a dispenser to dispense m & m's during the run. will also be safety pinning the halloween packs to my tank dress. runners often safety pin gel's to their shorts, so my fellow runners will be experienced at ripping them off during a run!

costume
http://www.buycostumes.com/M-M-Green...uctDetail.aspx
I won't be sporting white go go boots or the dolly parton do tho.
this costume says one size fits most adults. I can assure you that they should have qualified it--I am a 6-8 dress now and it is fitted on me. I have cute skirtsports.com running boyshorts for underneath, and you totally need it for this dress. it is short!!

am pairing with my zensah runners support thingies in black
http://www.footsmart.com/product.asp...010%2030%20014

and my all black cross country pearl izumis.

my appetite is low today for some reason, which virtually NEVER happens. not sure what is up, but I am eating what I need to eat anyway. can't run fast on no fuel.

Weird. Same here today, and so far I *haven't* made myself eat. Hmph.

Hope your bug is out of your system by the time you read this. And even if you're not doing the Dolly hair, maybe you should attempt the garish makeup for your run? No?

finally, yes!!! no make up, no way!

ed and I are finally on the mend. this was one badass bug.

will get my glycogen back today and attempt to run with my new garmin--broke down and got the triathlete one, this one actually vibrates to tell you your intervals, which will be infinitely helpful during my marathon, since my music typically drowns out the beeps of my old garmin.

Are you allowed to run with music/ear phones in your marathon? I had read that many races were forbidding in-ear devices during races.

I don't comment as often as I stop in here, but I love seeing your love of life in all it's manifestations and I'm sure you're the most fastest M&M on record ever.
