Thanks tracey and bree!
Thanks jane! Since new years day I have only had two days of surplus. Look at sat that negative number means SURPLUS LOL. But generally I have been rocking the deficits! Have calipers again on Friday. Will post a calculation about the accuracy of the gowearfit data and actual fat loss.

no prob! I giggle to myself every time i watch it, which is almost never because i forget about it until someone mentions something that triggers the memory. I just put it in my log too, because it's just THAT entertaining!

ok so
scale 151.25
burned 2666
eaten 2103
deficit 563

had an amazing track workout yesterday. unfortunately, about 3 weeks ago, I fractured my big toenail on the left down to the quick. one of my med students is a nail tech, and they recommended getting an acrylic overlay to mend the fracture. worked like a charm until today. woke up this am with pain in my toe. so I am calling my podiatrist/running friend to see what the next step is.

thanks guys!! toe felt better as the day went on. podiatrist said I did the right thing by putting the acrylic overly. basically I just need to tape it and run on it. interestingly enough, it is a pain thing, lol. as long as the pain is manageable, let it grow out. but if the pain is too bad, he can surgically remove the nail. he said I wouldn't be down for more than a couple of days, so that won't wreck my season too much. and my 5k race in march is really only a tune up for running camp in may. all good!!!

scale 150.75
burned 2027
eaten 2005
deficit 22
I was in the endless video conference from hell and was near sleep. didn't want to drink caffeine that late last night, so succumbed to one twizzler and one mini 3 muskateer. and some soup from panera. would have had a 500 cal deficit without those little additions, but before the gadget and before tracking, it would have been worse!!

of to run some fast miles, will report back.

Ouch on the toe. I hate anything bothering my toes. I'm glad the overlay and taping will solve the issue until it grows out. Congrats on the downward trend.

Thanks jill! Actually I am pretty sure it will happen tomorrow. I look really lean right now ( lean for me LOL)
Thanks Pauline! I taped the toe and had a pain free very fast tempo run 1 mile easy then 3 miles at a very high heartrate that felt sustainable then a mile cooldown. I am actually learning how to welcome the discomfort that happens during a hard effort. It actually feels pretty amazing to be flying along so fast and confidently. Very different from slow easy running

Wendy, glad to hear that you are managing the toe pain and wouldn't take you out long at all if you had to have it operated on. Woo-hoo on the fast tempo runs and actually enjoying them!

Good for you! I felt this way during my intervals last night. The last one was painful and I was getting sloppy in my running form but I sucked it up and ran tall for the last minute.

I have lost about 3 big toe toenails from running. It can be quite painful, but like you said as long as you can tolerate it, they will grow back eventually! It does look freaky to be toenail-less.

Good for you bree! I did the exact same thing today- I saw on my garmin that I only had a half mile left on the tempo portion so I consciously ran tall shoulders back.

Hey jane yep I have completely lost toenails. After the Disney marathon I lost my second toe nail. It looks wierd.

I'm mad at myself about this one because it was my fault- I let my toenails get way too long - I know better

I just have to comment because I'm SO the opposite on this one - I seem to see scale drops on the days when I wake up and think I look bloated or my stomach looks particularly big... Maybe I lose weight in my waist before my stomach so it looks bigger to me when I'm dropping pounds??? Just strange that you say you look lean as you lose - I always take a couple days after a weight drop before things even out again...
