Look at you! You have to be really blind to not see differences.. your waist, your lats, the 'air figures' (that's how we call the space between arms & body). The definition on your back, like the spine, etc.

Big congrats on the awesome progress.

Thanks espi! After more than 6 months of fairly painless maintainence at this scale weight, I feel ready to go for some more fat loss. It is so important to me that I be able to maintain without doing any kind of long term radical restriction. I don't mind short term dieting where there are significant restrictions, but I would rather be in the body I have today, which is maintainable without a lot of fuss then 10 pounds slimmer that requires constant dieting. Having said that, I never would have thought that 150 would be this painless, so I am going to try on 140-145 and see what that is like to maintain.

Looking amazing Wendy! Great progress

You have a Garmin gps running thingie, right? I was just curious if you had ever compared it against mapmyrun.com....I was using that to mark my miles, and am wondering how accurate it is. Not that it matters a ton for me right now, but got me thinkin' anyway. I used to drive my routes back in the days before techonology, but mostly run on trails now so wouldn't help a whole lot. And back in the day I was really good at figuring out my mile points just by my pace.

Thanks bree! I feel great.
Mapmyrun is pretty darn accurate. We use it in Galloway and it is close to the garmin (which has a margin of error too)

last night track session was BBBBrutal. 8 x 600 meters in the searing florida heat. this was the most distance I have ever done in a track workout. then, Peggy's son, Joey, who is a cross country star, and his coach, a local running legend, decide they want to share their hill workout with us, so we ran "just a little ways" like a mile to the hill and she showed us their hill workout. SO SPENT! I get so happy when tuesdays are over!

well deserved rest day for me today.

oh, and I found out yesterday that on saturday, instead of doing all mile repeats, we will actually be doing one fast mile followed by 3 mile repeats. so, I am on a quest to beat my 7:21. I have this in me. will be staying healthy this week, I will take an extra day of rest on friday, and let it rip on saturday!! last mile, I didn't put it all out there. this time I will.

Hey t, not quite speed of sound, but no question, I will be much speedier come fall weather. 7:15 is exactly my goal sat. The extrabodyfat I am carrying right nowis essentially a fat blanket that prevents me from optimally cooling during fast or long runs. All of my pacemates are teeny low bodyfat runners, so the heat affects them less severely. Scale is down today , so I am on my way to getting leaner. I am really motivated right now with my nutrition. Have completely been in the nutrition zone. Everytime I run, I am reminded about how much easier things would be at a lower body fat.

Yum, those sound yummy!

Just for the record, I was bragging on my "fast runner friend" last night. You DO have 7:15 in you, you know it! Congrats on the scale, too!

Oh forgot to post that the 28's button and zip, but they are not wearable yet. Am shocked that jeans this small can button and zip on me. I never thought I could be in this size. Apparently, I am continuing to put on lean mass.

I was just rereading lyles stuff about adding lean mass. He recommends women be no higher than 24 percent to start adding mass. My goal is to be 22-23 by my target marathon in nov. Then hold steady until Boston in april, then I am going to try to purposefully put on some lean mass. Cut running way back, lift more. Eat more. I seem to gain lean pretty easily in a recomp maintenance program, and I have never really lifted for mass gain. Franks new gym will be ideally suited for a gain program. My old coach, Harvey, will have his olympic lifting equipment there, so it will be great to have those plates to use for squats and deads.

Hi Wendy

I've seen you updating your log regularly and I may have popped in once or twice before.

You progress pics look great! I can't wait til next Easter then I can look at my year-to-year progress. You should be so proud of yourself.

And I agree with Jane, such endurance and drive. I'm going to look in here every day as my motivation!!
