You ROCK. I was driving my boy to hius summer class this morning and noticed an awesome outdoor track on the campus here at OSU. I think I may head there this evening for a real run! I thought of you because I saw two girls running together!
Love the post above about the figure gals and what you got out of the experience. Learning the love the body we have can sometimes be hard, but once you get there it feels great. You have helped me so much with that and the inner peace is wonderful.

(((((g)))))) am so glad about the return to running AND the body image work. We will def run together in vegas and the Arnold. You would like our tuesday track crowd. One of my trackmates is a single commitment phobic 40 year old lawyer. During our cooldown, I designed two tshirts "runs from commitment" and "will run from commitment" .
Jane, you are reminding me to go check out the designer consignment store! SCORE on the denim maxi. Mine is two layers of multicolored guaze, a short and a maxi. Very fitted. Browns oranges, maroons and olive. Brown macramé mini jacket/ tshirt combo thingy. I found a $50 clutch for $8 at Ross's. It is a deep maroon patent, so the sheen compliments the matte of the outfit. And of course the wood wedges. I would sleep in them if I could
Jane, For recreational activities, I'm thinking the David duchovny lookalike at my old gym is more your style. My track buddy sort of looks like barney rubble. OTOH there was a new guy at track Tuesday. He didn't run with us. He was doing circuits of pushup variations and sit up variations with quarter mile repeats. One amazing side effect of the 90 degree temps was that he took off his shirt mid workout. Sure did ease the workout pain!
It is crazy Jane ! That's why I believe what that inbody 320 said. I have a pair of pants on now that I haven't worn in a month, they fit fine then and now they are loose in the waist. My shoulders and biceps are bigger-several cap sleeve tops are tighter now. Go figure. Oh and I bought a pair of $9.99 chino shorts- non stretch material with a print that reminds me of gentian violet stain of neutrophils, Tina and the other lab nerds will know what I mean, and they are size 6. So I know I must be recomping. I think culk is as overused as bro, but alas, apparently this is not a culk-free zone!
so my marathon pace group buds peer pressured me into racing a 10k ON THE BEACH, IN THE HEAT. I don't feel all that well, but ed says that sometimes when you feel crappy you have your best athletic performances. we shall see!
Uggghhh! Not even close to what I could do right now for this distance. But I finished strong. Am glad it is over. Heat plus sandy beach plus tummy troubles equals slow run. Managed to keep the effort strong despite shitty overall pacing and shitty finish time. Am still nauseous. Time for a nap. They can't all be great runs! On the good news front, I just foam rolled and stretched and have no biomechanical issues. Massage in 3 hours yay!
thanks bytsi!
thanks roland!
ha! tina. thanks, not feeling like such a hottie these past few days. I've got the bedded down, mat hair look. unfortunately, the scale is down. I never thought I would says something like that, lol

Hello, flu.
We're actually an epicenter where I work. If you even have flu-like symptoms, you are not to report to work for a WEEK--you're at home on isolation instead. That's hardcore for the military.
It really has Jane. Am at work now. Was afebrile this morning. Have no appetite. Trying to eat something , just finished soup
thanks Tina! I have a pretty easy day today at work. I will leave by 5. I really think I have shigella or ecoli from the pool. My doc thinks so too. I had the flu about 8 years ago and the malaise, body aches etc were way worse. This is strictly fever and GI. Am pretty sure I am through the worst of it.
So... was it swine flu? The people at my daughter's camp said that's the only flu strain going around right now, so if you had an actual influenza, then it is assumed it's swine flu... (at her camp, they did the H1N1 testing on the first few cases and it was)...
