Sorry that you had to reschedule... that's a bummer. You know... you probably don't really *want* to see what he has in store for you until you do have to do it LOL!

I need to find a job. It's WAY too easy to sleep in, then I can't fall asleep early enough, so I sleep later... Vicious cycle. I'm gonna end up sleeping 4am til noon if I don't get myself back on track!!!!
Karate was fun, but I'm thinking I should consider making my Oly sessions on Friday, just in general (if it fits his schedule) cuz it was a lot easier to get through class without having been killed by the trainer a few hours earlier! We sparred last night, no major bruises or injuries, so it's all good

Have fun at karate!
LOL! I DO want his new program for me though... although since I'm waiting for Amazon to send me MS and BFS, I should have a plethora of options to choose from (ooooh - pulling out the BIG vocab words today! )

Jealous? Why? The DL? You could do it... you just have to be stupidly obsessed with it and a little too competitive for your own good

Thanks Tracey - I did!
Today is scheduled rest day. But I did walk just shy of 3 miles on the treadmill while watching tv - but only at 2.2 mph so really just NEAT to avoid couch-prints on my ass.
Weight 140. SLOWLY considering entering the 130's...
I can't imagine doing any sort of lifting followed by karate, especially not oly lifting!
Last night at the gym, there was a guy doing deadlifts w/200lbs. He was cursing the whole way through. It made met think of you (minus the cursing). Once again, I have to say that I'm so impressed with your strength and those DLs!

I can relate -- I'd love to hibernate. And if it weren't for my classes, I'd probably never get up from my computer.
What a day! Power at home went out while I was training my friend at the gym, so kids kept calling... it was -6 F and they were afraid they'd freeze (thermostat was at 66, hardly icy!). Then I get home and my trainer had cancelled due to no power for the Oly session - I wanted to cry!!! Then power came back at 11:30 (but no interwebz til just now !!!!), so I called and we were back on. I did get my Oly session, plus he gave me a bunch of workouts to do on my own (more details below).

Who says I don't curse ? LOL! Thanks though... Jason (trainer) actually looked a little impressed when I told him (although he's a HYUUUUGE guy so he can prolly DL 1000# or something).
I did decide to switch to Fridays for Oly sessions so I can survive karate

Thanks - still 140 today BUT we ordered in pizza & wings last night (hey, it was cold and I was tired from my rest day ) and I went online for the nutrition, ate EXACTLY what I had planned (plus some yummy asparagus that no one else would share - more for me!), and that was it.
Yay for compliance!

I hear ya' on that. Deficit lifting is hard. I was feeling it today, and I wonder if I'd feel stronger if I ate a bit more.

The only thing that sounds worse than NO schedule right now is classes

I'll do you one better Karla - I'll TRADE ya!
So... today's lift:
Started wit KB warmup (not as long a warmup as last time, so I was panting but not dead). We did 2-arm swings, figure 8's, 1-arm swings, 1-arm push press, 1-arm snatches, and maybe a couple others...
OH squat - 4x5 with 25# bar
Power Snatch above the knee - 4x5 w/ 45# bar
Front Squats - 4x8 @ 65# (funny moment - he started to load 25# plates on the bar, then asked what I had been doing - I said I'd done 85# for 4-rep sets, so he switched to the 10# plates instead. Which was good cuz I was grunting LOUD to get to 8 reps!!!!!)
Split Jerk - 4x5 with 45# bar. This was new for me. To figure out which leg, he had me stand still, then gave me a shove. The leg I put in front is now my "official" leg that goes in front . They were kinda cool though.
Snatch Pull to Knees - 4x5 with 45# bar plus 2x10kg plates (I gotta learn metric conversions!). These were good once I figured out the difference between DL form and snatch pulls!
Hyperextensions on machine - 4x10 with ???? weight. At least he didn't make me do GHR's. I asked him what I did to get him mad at me last time and he laughed.
Ab work with med ball. Um... 20 reps on each. First lie on back with legs straight in air, ball overhead, do a sit up and touch ball to toes up in the air. Then legs straight in air, raise hips up off ground. Then hold ball overhead (lying down), reach for toes while pull one knee in (alternating), then windshield wipers (he made me go ALL the way to the floor on each side), then Russian twist. OMFG I was dying. Yikes!!!!! Talk about cramping !!!
I'll post the other workouts later if I get time - I have to make a couple changes (he said I can add DL's in cuz he forgot I like those)...

You could get a dog, instead...they're darn good at that whole getting-you-out-of-bed-in-the-morning thing. Most of them, anyways. Avoid the lazy ones .

I bet! I can't imagine doing both on the same day .

That's how I learned which foot to put forward when snowboarding! As it turns out, I'm goofy (right leg forward).
Glad you've got your internet AND that you were able to get your Oly session in today (sounds like it was another good one!)
Our internet was out for a few hours again last night - sheesh!!!
The Oly session was good - definitely. I wasn't quite as dead as last week's (and didn't get nauseous this time) but still quite a workout. And I have some good DOMS this morning, especially from the front squats.

I have TWO dogs, and one is an early riser. But my DH is a morning person (and my DS is too) so they deal with 'em in the morning. LOL. One dog is very energetic and loves going on walks, but our older dog is a spoiled princess and even when she was young she never liked walks or "forced" exercise - she's always had weight issues - just like me!

My mistake on the cursing .
LOL - I curse a lot - trust me - just not loudly at the gym

Not just after - from now on, completely separate days whenever possible.
This morning: weight is up 3#. WTF?!!? Yeah yeah... glycogen, and I had too much salt last night. But still not fair. I seem to whoosh up SO much more often and easily than I whoosh down. Grrrrrr.
Did 45 min LISS on stairmaster, then going to karate (but I don't think it'll be a very strenuous class today).

I feel and look so bloated . I just don't get it. Whoosh-ups are mean. I was teetering on the edge of 130's, and then 143 yesterday - 144 today. I mean, seriously - WTF!?!?!?!?!?
I would be thrilled if I were bulking. But I AM NOT TRYING TO GAIN. So WTF!?!?!?!?!?

Back from the gym. Still VERY sore from my lifting, but did 86 minutes treadmill (watching dvds). First 20 minutes ran 4 walked 1 at 5.2/3.7. Next 20 minutes, ran 1 walked 1 at 6.0/3.7. Then 35 minutes incline walk (6 incline, 3.1 -3.2 speed). Then cooled down a bit but still at decent pace/incline.
HR 75-85% first half, then around 60% second half.
