Back from tubing - it was FUN!!!! Expensive ($25 each) but fun. A little crowded but not too bad, and we really didn't wait much... they had 12 chutes open. Last run of the day we linked in with this HUGE (20+ person) group - wheeeeee!

Lotsa good NEAT - absolutely! I've already burned almost 1900 kcals and it's not even 5pm... (had to check when I got home). Between the treadmill and the tubing, I'm a kcal burning machine. Of course I'm also EXHAUSTED

Geez... now that I have you and Celeste as friends on FB, I'm down to #5 on word challenge! Boo.
I was #1, but my other friend beat me 2 days ago and I'm down to #2 - pisses me off!!!! . Now I'm trying to beat her score, but it's gonna be tough - it's like 20700 or something... I was at 20200, but... sheesh!

Yeah, I HATE when I can't get on here - glad it's back!

My husband was making fun of me too! I felt uneasy without it! I came here to log a workout from yesterday and no dice. The dependency is strong.
Tubing sounds fun! I need to get out and enjoy winter more rather then complain about my commute in it.
And 88 minutes on the treadmill???? I suppose if I had a show to watch it would be no problem. Still, good for you!
I was visiting my sons yesterday and they were showing me the new Ipod's their dad had bought them for Christmas. I borrowed them to check them out and the first thing I did was check the forum. I checked it a few times while I was playing games and the last time I checked, the forum was up at last! But it really isn't that easy to browse the forum from an Ipod screen.

Wow, you're inspiring! I was half-planning to go skiing Saturday and get in some fun movement time, but I'd forgotten about an all-day meeting . So instead, I sat on my butt and ate too many frosted sugar cookies....Next time, I'm skipping the dang meeting!
Yeah... just try going an entire day without a single rationalization! I dare ya!!!
I can go a day without rationalizing, no problem, it's just that sometimes life gets in the way and it's not really making excuses, but I just have to change my plans and that one little candy bar won't make a difference, it's just a refeed day!!...oops.

Yeah, well she kicked me off of my throne, and I haven't even had time to play again to try to beat her!

ROFLOL!!!!!
By the way, Bytsi, our tubing is MUCH cheaper!!! (just a little further drive, is all! )

Well said Celeste! I'm having a refeed day today!
Bytsi, tubing sounds like so much fun. We're waiting for a good sledding in the city day. We just don't seem to be getting snow in town on the weekends. There's a great hill by BFs house though, and it would be perfect...if the weather would behave.
Nice workout this morning including a DL PR (will log below), then I had my meeting with my former boss to get my LONG overdue performance eval. Whatever. It was an hour of listening to her babble on about my strengths and weaknesses... Overall I had an above-average score, but she really harped on a few little tiny things (which were total BULLSHIT)... WHATEVER!!! So glad to be out of there. Got a few hugs from the two people I still keep in touch with, and that was it... I still don't know if I'll get back-pay for when I should've had my raise - we'll see...

My H is used to my addiction... lol... The tubing was a blast, but I don't know if I'd pay $25 on a regular basis to do it. We sledded Saturday too - all part of my desire to do more NEAT and also use my fitness for being active instead of just to be fit as an ends in itself.

Both my kids ended up with ipods this year (don't ask) and they are addicted. I can get online on my phone, but it's not the same as a computer - definitely harder to read, etc...

I'm so glad you had fun!
Thanks Cheryl! All-day meeting sounds pretty awful to me... and I'd have a hard time resisting the cookies (if they were the good ones ).

I wasn't talking about JUST food rationalization -- seriously - try going an entire day without rationalizing one single thing. Betcha can't do it!
I wish we could come tube at your place - it is a bit of a drive though...

We sledded Saturday, and it was fun but a bit scarier, especially with little kids just stopping in the middle of the hill to make snow angels while out-of-control sleds were headed right for 'em!
Ok... the workout...
DL - 4x115#, 2x165#, 1x185#, 1x195#, 1x200#
Step-Ups - 3x10(e)x20#(e)
Pullups - 4bw, 2x7 assisted, asst'd chinups 7
Shoulder Press - 4x8x60#
DB Bench Press - 12x40#(e), 3x6x50#(e)
Cable Row (stupid guy was hogging the smith for inverted rows) - 4x4x120#
Okay, so why were they doing an eval on you after you've quit? Why did you go in for it since you've already quit?
And now I'm finally getting what tubing is. The only tubing I was familiar with was water skiing type of tubing. Never realized you could do it on the snow -- very cool (assuming you don't live in a rocky place)! I've done sleds and car hoods and logs on chains behind cars but never tubes in snow. I'm now officially educated.
You're in NE Ohio, right? I am a native Ohioan and grew up in Chesterland. We moved to CA in 1982, though. I used to go skiing at Alpine in Junior high and high school. Of course, I was too cool to wear a hat back then.
Well, not sure if it counts as a whoosh, but down to 140.5. Which is STILL higher than the 139 I hit in November... but better than 142 or more that I've been hitting on and off since then . I need to be in the 130's, and soon... this is dragging out ridiculously.
Karate last night was good - sweaty and a good workout, no major injuries
Gonna hit the stepper today for a lower-level LISS workout (I think - that's the plan, at least).

Thanks - I just wanted to do 200 to prove I could.
My eval was due in October, and never completed (great boss I had, eh?). I didn't want it in my permanent file without seeing it, and they really needed my signature on it anyway. Plus - I WAS due a raise, amount to be based on scores on the eval. So I don't know if I'll get it, but I was originally promised (when it was late) that it'd be retroactive to the October date it had been due on... I wouldn't complain if I got a check for the amount I was/am due.

Yep, I know Chesterland - pretty area. I used to ride (horses) a lot in Novelty...
Bytsi - I saw in Celeste's log that you bought Built for Show. I have only browsed through the workouts but I think it looks good so far. You will have to let me know if and when you start it! I might next month once I wrap up Fat Loss III.

Cardio was bleh today... just wasn't feeling it. But since karate was a good workout last night, it's all good - I'm listening to my body. Did 15 min on the stepper, then just incline walked with HR around 60% for another 30 min. Ran errands, froze... I hate getting in and out of the car, scraping it... and then having to get gas when it's snowing and WINDY and cold and slushy and yuck!!!!

Thanks everyone - it was nice to round the number up finally to 200, but I don't know if I'll try heavier any time soon!
Tom - I did log in the women's DL thread, but now I feel wimpy, as my coefficient is pretty low compared to most of them!!!

I don't know what I'm doing next, as I'm HOPING Jason will have a cool program to give me when I go in for my Oly session tomorrow, so I want to see what he comes up with before I commit to anything else. But - I am going to check out both books (BFS and Max Strength) and see what the programs look like... I did the free shipping so I'm not expecting them very quickly.
OK... I definitely posted inhere earlier, and now it's missing. Either that or I'm losing my mind... which is entirely possible! Anyway, just wanted to add my "WOW!" to your 200 deadlift! Nice job superwoman!
Still 140.5 today... better than going up, at least...
A little bummed because my Oly session had to be rescheduled. I was so psyched, and when I got there somehow there was a computer scheduling error... . I can get it in on Friday though... I asked if he had my new program (thought I would try it) but he said he wants to go over it with me on Friday. Oh well.
I was tempted to do other stuff, but I have karate tonight and I know it's sparring (which is very high cardio) so I will not beat myself up. Prolly a good thing that Oly was moved, in the big picture... oh well.
Sadly though, I had a lousy NEAT day. I got caught up in a computer project that has to get done and spent 4 hours on my arse this morning. I did walk a little (slow stroll) on the treadmill while watching tv when I got home from my non-training session, but that's about it for movement. Bleh.
