Honestly I have't noticed that they did that. but then I'm usually out of the room when they show the previews.
I didn't notice that either. I thought they may have last night, but I didn't see it long enough or pay enough attention to it to see it all that well.
Yeah... then I sat at my desk and started giggling for my mistake.

"As far as (healthy) eating, either do it, or don't. Same issues repeated over and over is just insanity. We either commit to the endeavor or pay lip-service to it. This is the hardest part of the whole process, and it needs to be practiced more than the actual physical training. It's mind training." ~ Matt Thorne

Not much to report. Bob is over here for an extended stay because we are going to work on his smoking habit. It'll be good for me too since one of the things I'm going to encourage that we both do is go for a walk or something every day (I found I was a little stir crazy last night before bed). I think this morning's mission is going to be going over to Challenger Park and going Metal Detecting. I'll get to drag both cameras so that if he wants to take any pictures of his "finds" he can.
Last night I went for a bit of a jaunt down to the lake. Got some really nice pictures. I'm still in the middle of processing though.
Weigh in this morning was 263.4. I'm officially down 5 lbs for the month.

The last couple days have been off food wise but not terribly so. Someone forgot to purchase her fruit for the weekend yesterday so I went this evening and got some. Bob and I went for a nice long walk this afternoon at the Challenger 7 Park this afternoon. It was a really nice afternoon. Took pictures of course. We went out for Mediterranean food tonight for dinner. I had the appetizer plate (Hummus, baba ghanouj, falafel, mixed olives and spanikopita) and Bob had the Gyro plate. Bob wasn't going to finish his meat so I added it to mine. All in all a good dinner.
Tomorrow I think I'm going to take him to a park down Todville Road (if it's still there) and I think there will be some throwing around of Iron.
One of the pictures I processed from last night

Spanikopita are little spinach pies wrapped in fillo. They are really yummy. This place we go to overcooked them tho. I like mine a nice light golden brown and they do theirs to a much deeper color. I also think they might fry their's though too.
I'd never had falafel before so I liked those. I had an oxygen magazine around that actually did a baked version of falafel. I'll have to see if I can find it. My body was not digging all the fried food.

Bob is doing okay. If he makes it through 6 PM tonight we'll be up to 72 hours. I must make something light for dinner tonight. It seems that heavy eating makes him want to smoke.
I had to sit down with him yesterday and tell him how frustrated I've been feeling with him lately. All he wants to do is sit around. Then he whines about how flabby he's getting, and it take a freaking act of congress to get him out of the door.

Wheredjeet?
A Jordanian friend told me this weekend we should try BaBa's Mediterranean Grill on Bay Area near Hwy 3 -- said it was real good and real authentic.

I wish him the best, Paula! I know how truly difficult it is - I quit cold turkey - will be 6 years ago this Valentine's Day - it was THE ABSOLUTE HARDEST thing I've ever done!!!

That's a great shot, BTW!!
LJ,
We went to Mediterraneo Cafe on Upper Bay. It's close to my place. And thanks.

I know, and I do try and remember when I was at the place where he is now. It's a hard to go from being still because you don't know what to do next to moving again. But he does want that to change, he's told me as much.

Coffee with Cream and Sugar
Breakfast Tacos - whole grain Tortilla, egg, cheese and a bit of Picante sauce
Rachel's Yogurt - Orange, Mango and Pomegranate. It's tasty but too sweet I suspect the other flavors of this I have will be the same way.
Lentil soup with brown rice mixed in, Sweet potatoes, Salad with balasmic vinagrette dressing
Apple, Orange
Applesauce with yogurt
Dinner will probably be Sirloin burger, peas, beans, corn orange for dessert
cottage cheese, apple, peanut butter.

OK, so I smoked for... wow, like 15 years. I tried to quit a couple of times before it finally "stuck"--when that happened, I used the nicotine patches in the manner they're supposed to be used (step down dosing) and started running. I haven't smoked for like 10 years or so I guess, maybe slightly less.
Anyway, it's one more tool to use. If he fails and lights up, he's just gotta do it again. Repeat ad nauseum. The moving and the quitting smoking probably should occur simultaneously...
I know. That's why I made both of us get out of here on Saturday afternoon. I couldn't handle being cooped up in the apartment and both of us can use the exercise.
We will get there.

And congrats to Bob on the smoking cessation! I've been quit since June of 2006 (no crutches, just cold turkey) after smoking 2-4 packs a day for... 22 years? It sucks and no way could I have made other major changes in my life at the same time. I needed time to just deal with the one and then lick my wounds for a while. (Which is when I gained all of the lard... ) Anyway, good for you for being there for him.

Busy day today at work. No goofing off here or anywhere today.

the new personal project is off and running. I'll add a link to it here in a bit. It's another busy day here at the office. Lots of installs/support stuff going on. And there's the various work projects I need to focus on as well.
