I was looking at the large Version of the picture below, and I think it's a Tri-color Heron that's coming in for a landing! if so, that's the first tri-color I've seen up here.

The herons are truly beautiful...I love how you can see how their wings are extending for landing. The first in that series would look awesome as a large matted print!!!

I got a detector last year for my birthday -- love it. Been down to the beach several times and just haven't made the time to go back.
I'm always very self conscious, though, about detecting in parks, etc. Don't know why . . .
If Bob's the forum-lurking type, there are TONS of detecting forums out there where people post all their treasures and stuff. Very addicting!!
Bob dresses himself. He put on the extra shirt yesterday because of the chilly nip in the air (not as bad as this morning tho!) I'm just happy that for once he wasn't wearing an raggedy old shirt!!!! He's mad I even took the pictures. He doesn't like having his pictures taken.
Bob is of the attitude what he will do something regardless of what people think. Which is a good attitude to have.
He lurks on youtube. That's where he is currently getting all his detecting info. I think he's been bitten by the bug. I haven't seen him this excited about anything for a while (which is better that then alternative). He likened metal detecting to gambling. You never know what you are going get.

Okay... the really big task for the weekend is done (it helped that JP's was down for most of yesterday). I sorted through everything that I've posted to Flickr. Everything has been put into at least 1 set so I can go through them set by set and pick things that can go onto Etsy.
That's the next big part of the task.

I'd started putting most of them into sets as I uploaded, BUT there were still some that hadn't been done. I think I had almost 4000 to sort out. So that is done. Now I can sort for Etsy and get things going there (I've also got a few other places I might post images to sell.

A friend of mine has had some success on: http://www.redbubble.com/ as well as Etsy...I dunno anything about their fees etc...but I guess it's another place to look at if you haven't already!

I already looked at Paul's stuff on Etsy. And I'll definitely ask you if I need an opinion. I've never heard of Redbubble.com. I'll check it out.

Well I'm officially back at work and have a ton of stuff to do and most of it is either due the end of this month or the End of February. Yeah me.
Lifting will hopefully happen tonight after grocery shopping.

I'm probably crazy, but I love sorting stuff. Be it recipes, videos, etc. I like bringing order to chaos. That doesn't apply to cleaning though... although could apply to organizing drawers, fridges, etc. Yep, definitely nuts.
I'm reading but not posting much. I've managed to get an infection in my finger (not sure how ) and I'm taking antibiotics for it. One of the side effects of Levaquin is that it can lead to tendon problems/Ruptures.
I love it when the solutions are potentially worse than the problems.
If this doesn't do the trick, we're going to have to lance my finger.

Ooo, definitely the solution sounds worse. I was on an antibotic (probably same family) when I got out of the hospital a couple of years ago with an infected plueral cavity. I remembered reading the same potential side effects. The stupid thing is that it didn't clear the infection. I think I went to a sulfa based antibiotic before it cleared up.
I hope the infection clears up... without the lancing!
