Ok - here we go!! Month 1 DONE!! Wow it just flew by!!
I have to say I'm really pleased with my results!! BYE BYE 180's!!!!!!
So, how did I do towards my goals??
Goals
1. Get my BMI into the "normal" range - I'm currently at the low end of the obese range! YIKES!
I'm now "just" overweight - no longer obese!!
2. Reduce bodyfat percentage to 25% or lower
Number went down so I'm headed in the right direction.
3. Get back into my size 10 "good butt" (as DH calls them!) jeans
All of my measurements went down, so I'm again headed in the right direction!
4. Stay CONSISTENT with my nutrition! 100% compliance for the month!!!! Which earns me an hour long swedish massage!!!
5. Significantly increase my NEAT
Doing this! I have to say the GoWear Fit has really made me aware of how little I used to move every day. I'm now getting some type of NEAT in every single day and making sure I try to be as "inefficient" as possible. I'll make 3 trips up and down the stairs with the laundry instead of just one, park as far away from the store as possible, etc etc. It all adds up!
Plan
1. Nutrition: Low carb
Will continue with the Protein Power low carb plan. We are aiming for 40g or less of carbs every day. The only change will be to allow a wee bit more flexibility on the weekends where we will aim for 60g or less.
2. Workouts: from TNT
Will continue with these workouts. I have ONE more workout from the first 4 weeks, and then it's on the next ones!

I have to say I'm really pleased with my results!!BYE BYE 180's!!!!!!
As well you should be! What an outstanding month you have had!!! Wowee!!! Congrats on getting to the 170's and on making progress toward ALL of your goals!
"As far as (healthy) eating, either do it, or don't. Same issues repeated over and over is just insanity. We either commit to the endeavor or pay lip-service to it. This is the hardest part of the whole process, and it needs to be practiced more than the actual physical training. It's mind training." ~ Matt Thorne

Yesterday was a very NEAT day! We spent the morning shopping. We started at the mall - which included another trip to Teavana and the purchase of several more teas (like I needed any more, but I blame DH for this one since he got me a giftcard to Teavana for Christmas and it was burning a hole in my pocket!!!):
Kamiya Papaya Oolong Tea
Utopian Jewel Oolong Tea (had this last night - it's FANTASTIC!)
Strawberry Paraiso White Tea
Spice of Life White Tea
Ginseng Vitality Rooibos Tea
Tranquil Dream Herbal Tea
And a refill on the Honeybush Vanilla Herbal Tea
Then, we went to Costco and stocked up on steaks, ground beef, chicken, etc etc etc. We headed home with all of our stuff, unloaded the truck, had lunch, and then I headed out to the grocery store for some "regular" items that we didn't find at Costco. After that, I came home and did 45 mins on the treadmill (while watching "Fat Free Fiances" ). Ended the day with like 13,000 steps!!
Today will be the LAST of my high-rep workouts (WOOOOT!) and of course, football!!!! I'll post workout details later!

Great job, Tracey!! I also stocked up at the grocery store today for TNT day 1 tomorrow. Time to detox myself from carbs and TNT is the best way for me to do it!! I'll bet our grocery lists are quite similar! I'm ready to kick some ass in month 2!
Woohoo on the hi rep workouts being DONE! Nice work!
Thanks, Lori!

Thanks, Jane!! We will both kick some ass in month 2! I actually found your taco skillet recipe, and have the ingredients to make that this week - it sounds YUMMMY!
I can't believe it's Monday already! Another sloooooow day at work - still no news on the potential new clients. I have a dentist appt (time to get my teeth cleaned!) at 1pm today, so I get a break from the monotony - oh joy!!
You did awesome, Tracey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!111
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up!
Love your avi! LOL

Thanks, gals!!!
Back from the dentist - teeth are all cleaned, and NO CAVITIES!
I was going to do my next C25K workout today, but my legs are just tired today - probably from that high-rep workout yesterday. And my food schedule has been all screwed up today. I'm still trying to figure out why I made my dentist appt for 1pm! The office is almost an hour a way, so I had to leave at noon and didn't get home til 3pm - so I had to have a snack before I left, than another one after I got home - no "real" lunch today.
Oh well - cals are kinda low and I did a NEAT walk on the treadmill this morning, so I'll go with that and pick up the C25K workout tomorrow!
Tracey, are you tracking calories while low-carbing it? I'm going to try just doing low-carb and not tracking since it seems to work well (self-regulate?) for me. I just HATE the thought of tracking again. HATE IT!

It's funny you asked me - I was going to ask you if you were planning to track after you got your GWF!!
Yep - I am tracking too!!! I didn't the first week, but after I got the GWF, I decided to do both. I know low-carbing is supposed to be self-regulating, but I can tend to overdo the fats - and since they add up so quickly......

And therein lies my quandry....the GWF. I'm getting it this week, and I guess I really should track so I know what I'm doing, huh?
Sorry about the foot-dragging client still but, man, you kicked major butt in January!! Beautiful progress, you crazy tea lady!!
Thanks, Diane!!!!

WOW Tracey, you are really doing awesome and kicking ass with the workouts! You've made great progress - I can't wait to see you at the end of the challenge.
Love the new avi! I smile everytime I see you!
You mean there is actually a Teavana store??? I checked out the site when you mentioned it awhile back but never ordered anything. I'd love to actually go into a tea store.

Yep - there is an actual store!! And to be able to actually SMELL the teas before you buy.....probably why I spend so damn much $$$$ in there - they all smell FABULOUS!! You can check their site to see if there is a store near you!!
HI Tracey! Still going strong in here, I see....good job!! Hope you like the taco skillet...it's one of my faves to make and then have to take to work each day.
So glad I am low-carbing it again. Finally, my appetite is under control. I have to be so careful with my carbs. I was fine for 6 months when I was basically not eating any sugar (aside from fruits). But once the holidays came and I "treated" myself....look out! This week, I feel sooo much better having weaned myself from that damn sugar! I haven't started tracking yet, but I am using the GWF to see how my burn rate is stacking up.
