Umm... Tracey... I thought we had a deal that you would post warnings before food porn LOL! I didn't see any before that taco salad all of a sudden just appeared! Damn, I'm hungry!

Thanks, Tracey. I haven't done low-carbing, but in my mind there is a normal amount of fat and there's my DH's idea of a normal amount of fat--the two are not necessarily all that close .
I hear ya - I always make my DH measure (much to his dismay - he likes to eyeball things!)

We usually use EVOO - no crisco!!

Oh yeah - that would be great!!! We do eat a small serving of berries since they are pretty low carb, so that would actually work!!!
So, since my workload is sooooo light right now, and I'm trying to really stretch out what little I have, I decided to take a day off today. I'm going to spend the day cleaning the house - what fun! But, the thing is, once I finish my current work - I will have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do! And still no word on a potential new client........
High reps are almost done! I can't decide if my A or B workout is more treacherous.
I am at home today too - supposed to be working on picking out plants. Shrubs are very exciting. By the way, if you need any more specific advice about materials for the kitchen let me know.

YAY for being almost done with the high reps!! Right now we are in the "deciding what to do" phase for the kitchen - with my job security being so sketchy - we may hold off on doing anything for now - but thanks so much for the offer and I'll be sure to ask any questions if we decide to move forward!

Thanks, Bytsi! I actually took a sick day today....
Lots and lots and lots of NEAT going on today - the house got a total cleaning - vacuuming (all three floors!!), clean bathrooms, scrubbed the kitchen floor, several loads of laundry, plus I did
C25K - W1D2
5 min warmup
20 mins of 1 min @5 mph / 90 secs @ 3.5 mph
5 min cooldown
1.84 miles total
I ordered Tom Venuto's new book, The Body Fat Solution, and it came in today!! I'm anxious to read it, especially the emotional eating section, since I'm usually such an emotional eater!
Off to have a snack, grab a shower and plop on the couch - I'm totally poooooooped out after all that cleaning - in fact I just checked my burn rate, and as of 4pm I have already burned 2200!! WOW! Think I may need to add a few more cals to my day as I only have 1400 planned - that may be too much of a deficit by the end of the day!
Today was supposed to be a weight workout, but I woke up this morning feeling tired and run down so I decided to actually listen to my body this time and take it easy today! I did get on the treadmill for some NEAT, but that's about all I've done today.
I think the major house cleaning, coupled with an interval workout did me in! I ended up burning just a tick under 3000 cals yesterday, and only ate about 1600 - a pretty big deficit! And that's AFTER I added a glass of wine to dinner!

That's it! I'm moving in with you! My hubby can cook, but the downside is that he uses every fricking pan and plate in the house when he does.
Workouts are looking good!
Mine can make quite the mess! But it's usually worth it cuz everything tastes so yummy!!!
Yesterday was a day of rest (much needed!). DH and I went grocery shopping in the morning, then in the afternoon we headed down south (about 2 hours away) to see our grandparents. My wonderful grandmother turned 97 on Friday so we went to visit with her for a while, and then on our way back home we stopped in to see DH's grandparents as well.
Today will be another day of taking it easy. I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy (oh joy!) on Tuesday, so tomorrow I get to eat ABSOLUTELY NOTHING all day long. I know if I try to do a weight workout today, I'll be even MORE hungry tomorrow, so I'm just going to take it easy. Means I probably won't get a workout in again until Thursday, since I'm sure Wednesday I'll still be recovering from not having any food for almost two days.......too bad there isn't any football on TV this weekend!!!
DH is in the kitchen making the low carb crepes for breakfast - YUMMMMMMMMM!!!
Enjoy your rest and crepes... but not the colonoscopy. Blech. Must be done though, I suppose.... I'll be "enjoying" one of those soon myself, I'm sure.

Sorry about the colonoscopy and the lack of food that goes with it.
but mmmm those crepes sound good right about now
Those crepes were fantastic! DH used a maple flavor for the filling this time!!

Thanks ya'll!!
It's "you can't eat anything solid" day today - wooohooo - I'm just thrilled!! I am allowed to have jell-o so that will be my staple for the day - yippee.... BUT - I know it's one of those necessary evils! And my DH is so sweet - he actually wanted to know if he should eat dinner before he came home today so I didn't have to smell his dinner cooking!!! I told him to just eat something that I don't like!
Sorry about the colonoscopy. It is a necessary evil. Good luck with all that! And take advantage of the rest so your next workout is even better. Only one more high rep, right?
Hi! I have been so bad about keeping up with logs lately. Just wanted to stop by to say hello. I like your new avi too!

Nope - two! I was supposed to do one yesterday, but thought better of it - those workouts usually make me hungrier the next day - not so good to be even hungrier on a day when I can't eat anything! So I figure I'll get one of them in on Thurs, and then the last one on Sat or Sun!
