COMPLIANCE FOR SUNDAY

Cals 1887+/-: NO I increased to 2200 to try and make up for activity
Macros : YES!! 55% carbs
Water 2.5+ litres : YES
Activity, Snowhoeing: NO, more than required but fun
Sleep : YES
Stretching/Mobility : NO
Sodium c3000-5000 : YES

Wt 60.2, BF 18.1%

Today will be weights later. Wasn't sure what I was doing for Christmas. My good friends with whom I have often spent Christmas have emigrated from England to Canada and I didn't quite have the cash for a flight this year. My Dad lives in the next department but in fact as a family, with my brother, we have only had Christmas once together in the past 20 years(the Chrismtas after my Mum died) and then about 5 years ago I stayed here and spent Christmas at the hospital with my Dad s he had pneumonia. Anyway I phoned my dad a week ago to see if he wanted me to come for Christmas and he was pretty indfifferent, but yesterday he seems to have warmed up to the idea. I know he will like it really. We get on just fine but as a family we just aren't close. So I think I may cook duck I have actually celebrated Chrstmas in around 10 countries. On Christmas eve I am hoping to help out with a feeding the homeless project. __________________

You'll not regret spending Christmas with your father..

Is duck difficult to cook? Or just awkward for its' size.

Hey Jedi

Check out Mike Robertson's foam rolling manual Free SMR e-book from Mike Robertson

It really is worth hunting one down - I'm sure you could get one shipped from the UK pretty cheaply (I can send you one if you like as I bought a load for clients!) - I just emailed the place I get mine to see how much they would charge for shipping so can let you know and give you the website...

I don't do it enough and I know I should - there's a really good article on it at Figure Athlete: Find Your Perfect Fit...: Get Long and Lean Limbs With Self-Myofascial Release - Not as Scary as it Sounds!

COMPLIANCE FOR CHRISTMAS DAY

Cals 1887+/-: NO THINK I PROBABLY UNDERATE THE LAST TWO DAYS
Macros : YES I RECKON MORE OR LESS
Water 2.5litres : YES
Activity, rest: YES
Sleep : YES
Stretching/Mobility : NO
Sodium c3000-5000 : YES

Wt 59.7, BF 21.8%

Cals burnt during Christmas day when I managed to watch 4 films
1690 wow just shows how little I need if I am inactive!! my heart rate when just sitting is around 53-56! It is interesting to do this to see how many calories I reaaly need in a day or what I need to reduce them to to lose weight. I guess one can say without activitity I burn c1700 on an inactive day. which is pretty much what the internet preictors of BMR x 1.2 for activity, would say.

NB I have never seen a BF% on this scale above 21 since I have had it so this is a new high for me

Food was pretty clean for Christmas day... I had some bread, a few potatoe chips and a couple of pieces of chocolate, otehrwise all healthy stuff

This made me laugh. My next door neighbor feeds cats all the time, and they get soooo confused when they see me. I've had them meow at me through the glass, and Simba gets cantankerous when he sees a cat staring at his food.

Are that many reps as written in the plan?

I've been told to not do many high rep workouts.. it tends to wear you down and does barely anything to build muscle, except in rank beginners.

completely in the plan or I wouldn't be doing them. I tend to lift in the 3-8 range and hate doing 15 but I am trying to follow the plan to the letter !

I'm glad to read this, especially since so many women tend to lift in this rep range for too long.
I used to be one of them, mostly because I was afraid to hurt myself when going heavy.

I went to my first ever ballet last night and it was awesome. It was three modern, unknown pieces, but the Monte Carlo Ballet Company is world famous so the standard is wonderful...

Glad you had such a good time. Ballet always sounds so boring to me.. convince me otherwise

You're not the only one whose sleep gets messed up if you go to bed late.

Am proud of you sticking to the plan. At least they can't blame you for not sticking to the plan as written before trying something else. But hey, who knows, good things may still happen.. your BF% today was way down from how it was before. How's the weekly/monthly trend for the bf%?

Give the ballet a go I tried opera a few years ago and thought I would hate it, but nope!

Sept and Oct had me an average BF of around 16.5% Nov around 17.5% and I guess dec will be more than 18.5% I will put some stats up when I finish Metrepair.

Today's Workout I cheated a little as I wanted to test some 1RMs instead of 3x 15

Squats
10x 20kg
10 x 40kg
8x 60kg
3x 80kg
1x 90kg
5x 80kg
8 x 60kg

Captains chair
3 x 15

Military Press (I hardly ever do this usually do clean and press)
10 x 15kg
5 x 25kg
3 x 29kg
3 x 33kg
1 x 35kg
1 x 37kg
0 x 39kg

so 1RM = 37kg

Dips
7, 7, 6, 8

Back Extensions
3 x 15

1RM = 90kg which I only just got, so down from the end of starting strength when i did 3 x 94kg. My bench and deads are going to be embarrasing in comparison the gym was full of old guys this morning and I had only gone up to 60kg on the squats and they started telling me it was too much and wasn't I scared of becoming muscular!!!!!so I explained the testosterone thing and said I wd rather have muscles than flab

Your strength impresses me! Especially the MP thing as generally women are quite weak in their upper body strength. Go Jedi Go!

thanks, Espi I actually normally do a clean and press so this was quite different. I plan n testing my 1RM on deads and bench, but these two are much weaker exercises for me. My squat is much stronger than my deadlift

That's priceless. I suspect at least one of ours would try and kill an intruder, but you never know. We don't do a standard cat flap, but when the weather is decent we pull back the sliding glass door and they can wander in and out through a flap in the screen door.

Just popping by to spread some good wishes for the New Year. May the new year bring with it some of what you wish for.

Wt 61.1, BF 20.7 % I am trying to keep calm as I haven't weighed 61kg in three years since I started this fitness journey. Right now I have to say I just want to finish the metrepair and move onto other things. On Sunday I shall do a big post of all my metrepair stats/results on the fatlosstroubleshoot forum and ask for some advice. It is interesting, but this has been much harder than stalled cutting for me as it feels like my fears are being realised, but my compliance has been very good so even if it hasn't worked a) I have given i my best shot b) giving the body rest and a good refeed is always a good thing

Have a great 2009!
And with all the compliance and dedication you gave to MetRepair, you totally deserve both a big hug and much more success in this new year.. it wasn't your fault at all things didn't work out.
There must be either something wrong with your thyroid or your adrenals, there's got to be a good medical reason behind your lack of weight loss on relatively low calories and weight gain on moderate calories.

Did I ever point you towards http://www.drrind.com/tempgraph.asp ?

Thanks, Espi and thank you also for your constant interest and input in this journey as a newbie on this site I really have appreciated this My thyroid seems fine never had anything to do with adrenals tested but maybe I could ask for this.

COMPLIANCE FOR THURSDAY

Cals 2240-2500: NO
Macros : NO,
Water 3 litres : NO
Activity, Rest: YES
Sleep : YES
Stretching/Mobility : NO
Sodium c3000-5000 : NO

Wt 60.2, BF 21.8 % these are just a reflection of a day of undereating and underhydrating (still got in 2 litres of water). Breakfast was at 11.00 and then went out with friends and didn't get backtil 1900 when I ate some dinner. So really the first time in the 8 weeks of Metrepair that I didn't hit the right calories, that's not a bad statistic

Have enjoyed the cat stories. My MIL has a doggy door for her dogs. She also always has food out for her dogs. Well a couple years ago some skunks started coming into the house after the food. Talk about an expensive cleaning bill!!! She had to call in a specialist to get rid of the smell.

Congrats on doing so well with repair.
