Default Shari's FLTS and NROLFW journal Start June 9, 2008

Ok I have been going at this workout/eat right thing for almost 5 years now. Its time to start a journal and keep accountable.
I have read FLTS and MEtabolic Repair by Leigh Peele. I do not need MEtabolic repair according to her books. I am in Stage 5 of NROLFW but had to sto pdue to wrist injury. I have emailed Leigh and she has advised me to take a month to heal and focus on my eating hardcore, so that is what I am going to do , with some biking though , bc my hubby bought be a new bike!

So here it goes, I would love to hear from others along there journey.

Weight 153
height 5'3''

I will post pics later to show a start

I'm a big fan of Leigh's. Good luck on this.

Unless you want everyone going to your pictures every time they visit your log, here's a suggestion:
  1. In your signature put some words "Shari's Log"
  2. Copy your log's URL (remove the spaces): h t t p://forums.jpfitness.com/train ing-log/32731-sharis-flts-nrolfw-journal-start-june-9-2008-a-new-post.html. The part in bold is what you add so that who ever reads your log on a regular basis goes to the first new post for him/her
  3. Highlight your "title" then click on the World + link icon in the format menu then paste your URL in the pop-up box (note overwrite the http that is there)
Then you have a nice signature that looks like this: Shari's Log

LOL, I always get my hubby (IT guy) to help me too. Nothing like having the help desk in your living room...

Your future plan and the idea of dialing in the eating is really in my future too, so I will be very interested in how this goes for you! Good luck!

I am finding myself very frustrated this summer with my kids
I have 3 boys ages 11, 7, and 5 and then my foster daughter whom we are trying to adopt , she is 2.

I feel like i am screaming all day long!!!!!!!!!
Im not sure i can make it thru the summer.

Any moms want to chime in here and give me some pointers!

Oh i even take them to the pool almost everyday, let them have 30 minutes media time, so its not like im being a mean mom all day long.

I guess i just get fed up with the boys not getting along...its constant "MOM HE HIT ME OR MOM HE TOOK THIS!!!!!!"

Weekend was good

I went biking twice which was great!

I need to get my calories lower. My average for the week is still at around 2000 when i do the average calories for the week on my fitday. I have a few good days then a few where my calories are just too high ...So this week i am gonna work on getting my average lower for the week.

I need to be aiming for 1400-1500 each day.

Ok well off to bed!

Today was good
My eating was right on.
I was at 1562 for calories

I could go lower i suppose, but i started my period today so it was hard enough to keep them there.

No workout today, will ride my bike again tomorrow night.

have a good night

Hi Shari,
How's it going with the boys? I thought someone with younger kids would chime in with a suggestion, but I have one. How about letting them play soldier -- the basic training portion. Where you put one in charge of being the drill sergeant (rotating) and give them a chore where they have to help each other to complete it. Praise/reward comes from how fast they can get it done cooperating but the person who is the drill sergeant for the day gets an extra perk for how well he gets the others to cooperate. Might be slow to work at first, but if they get the hang of it, they might respond well to the sense of accomplishment of something they can show off.
