Second to last workout of phase 1 TNT. The reduced rest period meant I couldn't quite get in all the reps for bench on the last set. I just waited about 20 seconds and finished 'em out.
I got my gymboss today, it's pretty sweet. Except that it's showing me how much I may have been slacking on the rest periods before.... second set of hip extensions and I sat up after a breather and realized I had 5 seconds left. I'm sure I'd have counted that "breather" as 10 seconds, maaaaaybe 15, 'cuz 'ya know, looking at the clock from the floor is *hard*.
Haven't scanned, yet, but I got my last TNT phase 1 workout on just a short while ago.
I ended up having to skip the last superset. I was beat into the ground.
Looking forward to getting phase 2 down. I'm going to have to get back to the gym.. I'd been able to do phase 1 in my spare room with the stuff I have at home.
Okay when the desk guy recognizes you and calls you out for not being in the gym for a loooong time... *ahem* Yeah, that's called slackin'. At least I could honestly say I had been working out at home. Not for the whole time, mind you...
*sigh*
Good workout, back to 45 seconds rests and it feels so much more relaxed. I'm gonna have to get the transitions faster, though... no way I can re-rack my weight and get over to the next area inside of 30 seconds between the two supersets. I may just have to come back around and re-rack at the end... will cross that bridge when I come to it.
DB push presses just don't feel right. Would it be horrible if I want to switch it up to BB push presses?
On the machine weights you have a # not a weight. Is that some new funky machine?
The weight stacks on most of the cable machines are labeled with # of plates, not weight of the combined plates. Some of those have charts that map what each number means in actual pounds of force on the cable, presumably accounting for the pulley system.
I wonder if they didn't get sued by someone who thought they could pull xx pounds and hurt themselves because they didn't understand the cable machine has pulleys that make it easier.
In any case, I track the setting because I care about remembering what to increase next time. I should look at them to see if they do the conversion for me.
