Aside from a new horn for my motorcycle (preferably air, but at least 120 dB), this morning I decided I want an egg cannon I can strap to my left forearm for my commutes. It only needs to hold a half-dozen eggs--would've used them all this morning, though--and I figure it could be powered by those CO2 mini-tanks used for inflating bicycle tires on-the-fly. Need to do some Googling today.

Forgot how much I walked around with the slosh pipe yesterday, not just to/from the photo shoot. Figure it was about 100 yards total. Not an issue until I get into a report at work. Pushing that air out that forcefully is a tad tingly.

--I don't even think "dinky" begins to cover this, but at least it was something considering how much yesterday wiped me out (didn't realize it until halfway through today). After getting my climbing rope set up at the end of four glorious, rain-free days, the skies opened up this afternoon just minutes after I got home, so weather continues to be a damper. Until I can get into some kind of groove, I think a lot of my workouts are going to look like the above, just not quite as, ya know, weenie. Side note: I'll be doing almost no dedicated pressing (today notwithstanding) when I get ramped up so as to give the shoulders some proper progression.
--I read through Never Gymless today, and I have to admit at being a tad disappointed in how similar it is to Infinite Intensity. Ross does give a few more movement combinations as well as a shorter "week" cycle, but so far, I don't feel like it was worth the expense (by itself, it would've been great, but not in the context of II). I'll still give it a shot, though.
--Today's mailbag brought home The E-Myth Revisited and the Chilton manual for my pickup (I hate not having a repair manual around for my vehicles, but other expenses have trumped--the manual for the Harley is coming in next week). If my workouts are going to suffer, the least I can do is feed my mind--the guitar learning is at a snail's pace but at least progressing (I know more today--E7 chord--than I did yesterday).
--Supper is wine and cheese, which is sadly a step in the right direction for my diet. I've lowered my caloric intake pretty well, and I'm slowly but surely easing back into a keto lifestyle, which will hit full-force after next weekend's cookout and shearing.

So I passed the IYCA level 1 exam. Woo. Does that mean I get letters? I may've forgotten to mention that I might already have some phys-ed consulting work lined up for a local charter school next school year, but nothing concrete yet. It'd certainly be a nice way to get things rolling. In the meantime, I'll likely work on the next cert level(s).
I'm also curious about what the failure email looks like considering all the capitalization and exclamation marks in the pass email

One cert for ages 6-17, though the school I talked to asked about five-year-olds (kindergarten), which shouldn't be a problem, and goodness knows a lot of adults could use this stuff, too, so I'll set up a group time for them if interest warrants.
There are some specialized certs (speed being the latest), but I just want to develop the main cert up to its top (fourth) level before doing anything else. I need to start bringing in some income to justify the additional work, though.

Nice that it's basically one cert for the age groups...and what an awesome job! I can't help but think if there was someone like you at my school growing up I may not be doing this now. It's a good thing you'll be doing there but don't worry tho I won't tell.

Notes:
--Oddly sore from yesterday, though in a good way (mostly in the left shoulder and scapula--this is a good thing), and since I have to call it an early night with early work this weekend--and the seemingly ceaseless rain--I just did a quick prehab deal tonight.
--I'm having to learn how to climb a rope. Seriously, I've never done it until now, and I had no clue about the foot cinch stuff, even though I'd seen it before, so I've YouTubed sufficiently. Again, just waiting on the rain to subside so I can try it out. Note: steel-toed boots are great for protection but not the best for weight or grip, so I'm looking forward to giving the Vibrams a go at it.
--The E-Myth Revisited is still pretty good two-thirds of the way through, and it totally pegged my mindset approaching all this training business stuff. Good thing I'm reading this before instead of after really getting started.
--Still waiting for fingertip callouses to form. May wuss out and get some finger guards if things don't improve in a few weeks (still getting in my half-hour of practice a day).

By the way, one week until the potential shaved head (see siggy). I say "potential" because donations are a tad low, but hey, I know how things are. Just means I may keep the hair

Notes:
--Short sleep last night, meaning a long and nap-needed day, so I just piddled around outside with the dogs. Apparently, my rope-climbing technique was sound--I'd just been wearing the wrong shoes (read: not grippy). I had on my Vibrams this time, and man, what a difference. I will say that future, dedicated rope climbing sessions will involve long pants and/or socks (no burn this time, but it wouldn't've taken much) and my thicker, full-cover Vibrams (without socks) if not just an old pair of sneakers that still have some stick to them.
--I closed my eyes, turned my head, and ordered the Level 2 cert today, balking only at the upfront cost, but then, the presenters and material in general looks more interesting than Level 1 (sciency stuff versus basic program design). At the same time, I'm still rolling through The E-Myth Revisited, and it's setting off flash bulbs left and right. The problem is that I have a LOT of preliminary work to do if I want to make anything close to a living with just the training stuff (still plan on keeping radio as a side gig for fun and extra cash). My end-of-summer ballpark guess seems reasonable, but I'm not going to rush anything.

I just re-connected with a former college professor who is now going to supply my eggs. Free-range, totally organic (meaning my choice of bird when they reach slaughter time), for $2/dozen. Score.

Nice. I was getting organic, free range eggs too from a kid in our co-op, but now that school's over (for normal people around here anyway), it'll be harder to get them. I'm not into driving an hour round trip just for eggs. I suppose there's lots of Amish around, maybe I should look into them for supply now.

Hook that up, and you'll likely be able to get chickens on occasion and milk still warm from the cow. Yummy.
