As long as you don't change your log title. With the all caps I find it easily.

Congrats Marty! Good goals ... awesome about the tri ...

And I take 400 mg nightly too, except days 1 + 2 of my cycle (and days 12-24 when I also supplement with a cream) ... it helps me in a ton of ways ... no more brain fog, I sleep better, and I'm not so bitchy all the time. (And amazingly my progesterone levels are STILL low! Apparently stress eats through it ... )

Looking forward to your tri training!

Thanks Jes! I need to find a training program! I know I can do all the distances individually, just never have done them together.

You know, I was thinking about starting a new log, but couldn't think of what to call it. Problem solved. No new log.

Thanks T! It is 325m swim, 6.2 mile bike, and 1.55 mile run. Totally doable. I've just never done them all one after the other before!! LOL

Thanks Julie! Wow - I had no idea stress could eat through hormones like that! I guess that explains a lot...

So it's been awhile since I've posted. Hmm, let's see, what's been going on? OH YEAH, THE MOTHER-IN-LAW IS IN OHIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! (FYI: I am not.)

I am so happy to have my house back. When we got home from my sister-in-law's last night, I wanted to run screaming around the house naked. I refrained, but still. Seven blessed weeks of no one telling me to put on my seat belt or that I need a sweater because it's cold out and staring at me while I cook and insisting on watching TruTV all day long.

(I feel like I'm being really mean and petty now. I DO like her. Just, you know, in smaller doses than a month at a time.)

ANYWAY.

From a fitness perspective, here's what's new:

1) I have sort of an "acceptable weight range" that I have set in my head that is 132-138 pounds. Today I weighed in at 139. I think I might have had a little too much fun over the holiday. So I will be reining in the food a bit over the next couple of days and we'll see how that goes. I'm trying to not go psycho crazy and generally approach this way more casually than I am wont to do, but my perfectionistic self finds this challenging.

2) Andrea aka Miss Tenacity sent me a plan for getting me to run a 10 minute mile. I am so excited to get on it. I have a scheduled rest day tomorrow so maybe Tuesday. Yay!

3) My co-worker is putting together a tri training schedule for me! And letting me borrow, like, all her gear.

(Don't I have cool friends??)

4) I'm wavering a bit on joining the women's challenge. I want to, but really don't think it's a good idea. I know you can have whatever goals you want and they don't have to be weight loss, but I just think watching people have the awesome results they did this time while I stayed the same might be a trigger for me. So I think I'll sit it out this time.

5) I've started trying some Valerie Waters workouts. Today I did this one, as written. I was worried about doing a circuit-style workout with no rest, but she said pregnant women can do them as long as they monitor their HR, so I figured, it can't be that bad. I did monitor my HR and it was fine.

I think that is all the news that's fit to print. Hope you all had a great holiday!

LOL on the thoughts of running through the house naked. Glad to hear you've got your house back.

I'm looking forward to your triathalon training and reports.

Great, Marty! I know it's so wonderful to have your privacy again. What does the training for a 10 minute mile entail? Sounds interesting. The triathlon sounds challenging. I know what you mean on reining in at the eats. I've been lax the last couple of weeks and I'm at the top end of my maintenance range now, too. I'm upping the cardio a bit and cutting out the desserts.

I wish you were in Ohio - we could get a group together!

I understand, and I'll keep following along with your log to see how you're doing... You have to do what's healthiest for you! Although... your goal could be maintenance IF you change your mind...

Put on your sear belt.

Now that your MIL is gone some one has to take up the banner.

In all seriousness though she right.

You could be like "some people" and enter the challenge as an athletic supporter. Sometimes it's nice to be part of the group, just to be part of the group. You may not win, but that's not always the point anyway right?

Yay for naked frolicking!
