Hi Elyse! Great job! How did the left arm feel today? Do you feel any pain any more, or just this "tightness"? Is it only on things like pushups, or do you feel it during pulls or deadlifts too?

Thanks It's not really even tight anymore. I was feeling it when I did wall slides a LITTLE bit, but I don't feel it on pushups, deadlifts, anything. It's pretty much gone, there's just a tiny twinge around my armpit when I put my arm over my head/behind it. I did pushups yesterday and that didn't bother it at all.

I'm on my first BB (Verizon Curve), so I'm still in honeymoon phase, even though I crashed it after only four days.
Oh yeah, nice workouts, yeah yeah whatever

I've been offline because I got a crackberry (it's pink ) and I've been trying to personalize it and figure it out (it's my first... awwwwww ). Anyway... now ya'll are scaring me! I have 30 days to decide if I'm keeping it though... so far it's ok, but very different from the basic phones I'm used to...

Yeah, I have a pink pearl - such a girly-girl sometimes! I actually went back today to talk to the phone guy about other options (they keyboard takes some MAJOR adjustment) and decided to stick with it for a while... I am slowly figuring it out (got my ringtones set - FINALLY!), and I love the full web browser, email, etc etc... I don't think I'd like anything else better without it being so big that I wouldn't want to carry it around...
Ok Elyse - you can have your thread back now!

I held out for the Curve on Verizon because I just could not get used to SureType. It fits pretty well in pockets (which reminds me that I need to get a screen protector), but even on the hip (where I usually carry mine), it's very low-profile unlike the brick-like VX9800 (original "V") I had. If you like the Pearl, you'd probably like the Curve. Now if only Firefox would come out with a mobile browser...

I did check out the curve, seems a bit big for me and my itty-bitty (or itsy bytsi ) jeans that I'm working on fitting into! Plus, my pearl is pink so I'll keep working on learning the suretype...
Ok Elyse - let's hear from you - hijack your own thread back or pay up the ransom!!!

hahaha, no re-hijacking yet, cause i haven't been to the gym yet today!!
instead, i'll just keep on the current topic:
i have the regular black pearl. it crashes constantly, i really don't get it. i also hate that it only has one alarm, and you can't make it ring more than three times!? gah. maybe there is new software i should see if i can get. i LOVE typing on it. Bytsi, the keyboard you will get used to VERY quickly. my only gripe with it is the numbers/letters are off so if you are supposed to call/text a number that they use letters in, you can't, because they're all wrong haha. i'd probably like my BB a lot better if i needed to use it for work, check work e-mail, etc, but i don't. i just want to use it for things like going away for the weekend and not bringing my laptop but still being able to check my gmail, or use google maps on a trip. gmail app works OK, but google maps is HIDEOUSLY slow. it also deletes my texts/messages, doesn't always show phone calls if i miss them, and if my SIM card is full from messages it doesn't store the incoming ones, they just vanish. if you guys run into any of these weird message problems let me know, because i get the feeling it's just me, hahah. oh well, if i can afford it i'm going to get an iphone when the new ones come out
do i still have to pay the ransom if i go along with the hijacking?? :O
gym after work.. i promise :O

Hey Elyse,
I'm glad you said I'll get used to the typing... how old is your BB - maybe you do need a software update? I haven't frozen mine yet, but give me time ...
My messages - I think you have to actually physically choose to save 'em? Otherwise, they show up for a while, but then???
I do have a problem with the ring / vibe thing. I put on ringtones, but I used to like my old phone that would vibe and ring at the same time. This one, when you choose that option, vibes first THEN starts ringing . Don't like that!!!
... or maybe it IS just you
Ransom - just make that check out to "Super Hamster"

First question: what OS are you using?
Second question: how much memory do you have free?
Third question: you have your messages stored to a SIM card or a media card (meaning, are you on GSM or CDMA)?

You can choose to keep messages forever: Messages --> Options --> General Options --> very last option (Keep Messages: [days/weeks/months/forever]

Ben, I actually don't know. It's just whatever it came with, from T-Mobile. For someone who is generally really tech-savvy (I mean, I do work in graphic design) I am hopeless with this stupid phone. I'm using EDGE as my network, sometimes GSM? Whenever my messages get full it says my SIM card is full. I have them set to be stored forever, but they don't actually. The Blackberry lies. GRRRR.
Although supposedly they are coming out with a new one soon: RIM's BlackBerry Bold / 9000 gets official - Engadget Mobile Is this the one you have (early)??
Off to the gym! Squat day!

STAGE 1 WORKOUT A 3
Squats
12x45
12x65
Pushups
10 on the ground! woo!
5 or so on the group, 6 or so on the bench
Seated Rows
8x60, 4x45
12x45
Step-Ups
2x12
Some group had the low bench so I was using the higher one and doing these reaallly carefully and slow. Ow! But good.
Prone Jackknives
2x12
I'm really close to a pike on these! It feels AWESOME.
I was with my coworker Rob; he is doing much better. I showed him some other stuff (deads, stepups) which he will be doing next time. Felt great today.
Came home to discover I could eat a) canned tuna or b) frozen meat of all kinds. Huh. The only thing I had defrosted was some ground beef, so I made weird hamburger patties crossed with meatloaf (beef, egg, a bit of flour, onion) and ate it with broccoli and half a tomato and some salsa. It was actually pretty good, just.. weird. It was fast though, and easy, because I am tired!

This is the phone I have, a year-plus old on GSM but brand new on CDMA (which seems to be the general trend with Blackberry). The Bold looks okay; I guess I'm still too enamored of my Curve to care much.
Nice try on re-taking the thread, but you still have some work to do (read: WHERE'S MY MONEY???)
