It's funny how we usually won't trust the lower numbers, isn't it? Congrats!

Huzzah! That's awesome. I've sort of noticed the trend you have with the low high lower thing on my charts too. It's an interesting and frustrating dynamic, but at least it's predictable

Nice woosh!
Thanks - we're pretty close in numbers, but I honestly don't expect to stay quite this low... my pattern is to hit a big low for one or maybe 2 days, then bounce up a little - but hopefully (usually) not as high as I was...

I don't trust 'em til they stay for a while... but I'm hopeful that the upswing won't be as high as it was...

It is frustrating, but at least I'm not quite as freaked when it bounces around...

You're looking really good Vickie - I'm sure you'll do fine!

Tonight - karate sparring, good 'n' sweaty, no major injuries. One guy took a major kick to the "jewels" (and he was wearing a cup) - he went down like a rock and turned white as a ghost... poor guy... And no - I was not the one who kicked him

Planning a good (I hope!) lift in the morning. Ate a bit tonight, but I was pretty active for a lot of today and had a good workout, so shouldn't do TOO much damange... if I'm careful tomorrow I can still be on program.

I expect a bounce up as well; it's my pattern too. But it's nice when there's a low!

Forgot to add - I saw an acquaintance today (not even sure what her name is!) and she said "you look like you've lost a lot of weight!"

That trumps everything (even the scale). I figure when people I don't know well make comments, it's got to be noticeable! So congrats on noticeable change!

Thanks Jen & Jes - that was pretty nice to hear... although part of me sometimes thinks "how fat did I look before?" when I hear that. Probably a leftover from my really fat days...

Today 142, but I knew it'd go up - ate a lot last night at dinner (YUMMY fondue restaurant - we did use the broth instead of the oil, but it had to be salty too) and I'm sore (aka swollen) from lifting... I'm still 10# down from my "start" so... just gotta be good today.

Did 40 elliptical this morning, HR low-mid 120's. Will hike about an hour later, and got some fall cleaning (de-junking) I want to work on this weekend at home...

There are SO few pics of me from when I was fat... I never let anyone take my pic if I could avoid it... This one is probably not my absolute biggest, and it's not a great pic, but I'm going to post it anyway. If I find a better one I'll post it. Sorry 'bout the blurred face, I'm sure if I left it you'd get a better idea of how big I was cuz I always carry fat in my cheeks and double-chin, but... ugh... don't want this one to be really pulic, ya know? This is summer 1996, and I guess I was about a size 16 women's (which is a lot on a 5'2" frame)... I'm about a 4/6 now.
