Where in Ohio are you Ginny? (you can PM me if you prefer not to post it)...
Back from karate... ALL throws and falls tonight... the "mat" is not exactly soft. Owwwwww... Some nights I REALLY think I'm too old for this! Came home, drank my PWO (yum!) and foam-rolled... showered... going to bed. Too tired to overeat (even though DH is chomping away on something he cooked up that actually smells pretty good).

Oh, man, I love salads! You're talking my language now! I have HUGE amounts of greens growing to supply my habit but I really can't wait for fresh tomatoes to pile on top. Yum!

Today - Stage 3 B2. Done as paired supersets to minimize boredom and make it more challenging. Rested about 90 seconds between supersets (I can't make myself do 105, especially when I'm time-crunched).
Bbell RDL / Row - 3x6 100#, 100#, 110#
Partial 1-leg squat - 6, 8, 8. Might try holding db's next time, or just stick to increasing reps and focusing on form / depth for now
Wide grip lat pulldown - 3x6 @ 130#, 130#, 140#. Form not great at 140, so might stay at 130 for 1st 2 sets again next time.
Back Extension - 3x12 bodyweight on roman chair
YTWL - 3x6 w 5# db's
Abs - done as superset of all 3 exercises.
Cobra - Skipped - no time, no workout buddy to cheer me through. barely got to work on-time today anyway!
HIIT - stairmaster 8 sets of 30/30 at level 3/10. REALLY struggled with this today. Partly from workout before it, but mostly I think because karate was so tough and I woke up SORE from hitting the mats repeatedly last night.
Brought my lovely ready-to-mix salad to work - can't wait for lunch! Only bummer is the avocado was WAY too mushy to use today

You read my mind Ginger! Once I found out that Bytsi was so close, you also came to mind and I was thinking about an 'Ohio get-together'!

Nice job with the workout. Did doing these as a superset help? I'm getting ready to plow back into it all with stage 5 next week and am concidering the superset. Especially since S5 is 4 sets of 4; I'm really going to try to increase my weights on these though, so the rest might be nice...Things to think about.

Bytsi,
It was fun catching up on your log after being in Neverland this week (no internet)--your workouts look great as always, and you really do a lot in between! I'm really impressed...

Not having a good night with food here... hungry. Gave in and ate popcorn (200 kcal) after I had eaten just enough to be on-target with cals and macros for the day. And there is some really good-looking ice-cream too - damn kids! I'm TRYING to resist... I hate being hungry.
I actually spent way too much time today (at work) reading about body bugg... wondering if maybe I should just buy one (but DAMN they are expensive!) and wear it so I could know, once and for all, how many calories I burn all day. Then maybe I could figure out if I'm over- or under-eating (or just right?). I'm NOT losing pounds, which I want/need to lose. I am getting stronger, and my bf% & measurements were SLIGHTLY improved last month... I'm just scared. Ice cream won't help either.

The superset helped me. It made it more challenging (since I feel that I can't necessarily increase weight without losing form and hurting myself on most of the exercises). AND I can't deal with sitting around between sets for that long when I know I'm gonna barely screech in to work on time. Honestly, if I hadn't supersetted, I wouldn't have had time to do ANY HIIT (as it is, I skipped the prone cobras).

Hey Bytsi-
I'm in Pittsburgh, so not too terribly far. We are always up for a road trip.

Ice cream is my weakness! My DH loves it almost as much as I do so there is usually some in our freezer. I just try not to think about it being in there. But every once in a while I sneak a bite. Its soo good!
I also wanted to tell you I didn't find the B workout on stage 3 all that challenging either. I wear a heart rate monitor and it didn't get my heart up nearly as high as previous workouts. You are not alone. I will check back to see if you come up with any more ideas on how to make it a little more challenging. (I also didn't rest the recommended time.)

I did my first 5B workout yesterday (same as 3B with more sets, fewer reps, longer rest periods - 2 minutes!). The supersets went pretty well and made the workout pretty challenging there toward the last set in the superset. The 2-minute rest periods are much needed, though.

Hang in there Byts. Ice cream is just milk. (Put a new face on the enemy).
Wish I was in OH to join the party!

If you don't want to buy the body bugg, my spreadsheet tool will do the same thing for you. You have to measure both weight and bf over a period of 2-4 weeks for it to be accurate though. I know pretty exactly what average I burn a day.
Oh and btw... If you are not losing any lbs and your workouts feel strong chances are really, really good that you are eating at mantainence right now or better. (wink)
Oh see now... Here is an example of where it would pay off to have some of my fake ice cream in the fridge ready for the eating. Would it be just as good as the real stuff? No. Would it stop you from eating the real stuff? Good chance and you would put good protein in your body.

Bytsi--I did the same thing last night. Did you manage to resist? I did resist, but only because I lost the battle on Monday night to that rocky road ice cream left over from my son's birthday! I hope you did better than I did.
