I don't know about your situation, but this is totally how it has been for me! I have done other low carb diets before, for the Rx time that it says, but I never had this reaction??? I was thinking it was bc my carb addiction was wayyyyy worse than I had thought??? Which, in turn, explains a lot of weight loss issues!! hmmmm?
I had another really good day, and as I said before I had a lot of energy today!?? I don't know how long I could do this, as far as lifestyle but I know I can do it for 2 more weeks and prolly will be better off for it!?
I will keep checking in, but I won't get on the scale again until next Sunday morning (end of week 2) so I will let you all know and maybe take some measurementS??? If anyone wants to know them???? We shall see!!!!

Not much to log today....just did spin class this morning and now my legs are D-E-A-D!!! So, I am officially taking the day off tomorrow and lifting again on Friday (my last Stage 2 workout!! wooo hoo!)
Still feeling pretty good about TNT diet. I need to branch out and eat some different foods though, I have been eating pretty much the same things over and over...getting sick of them. Guess I need to "re-discover" the joy in cottage cheese I suppose? LOL!
I also had some digestion issues again today, so wondering what food it is that is doing that? Could be anything really.....cheese, lettuce/spinach, loads of protein, and yesterday I had celery and broccoli!! so take your pick from that long list of stomach botherers!!! haha
I have a good fiber shake but it is loaded with carbs (not sure how much is fiber carbs?), so I think I will stick to natural veggie fiber and the supplements and see if that makes it betteR?

oh! glad you said that....I haven't had any at all, but was thinking it was ok. I will stay away from it then.
I had the "Cream cakes" for breakfast this morning though and those were pretty good. A good break from the eggs/ham/cheese I have been having! I also went to that muffin website (nexgen.com I think?) from the book to order some....they sounded rEally good, but they are SOLD OUT!!!! ARGHHHHHH!!! I am so pissed bc I would have ordered a BUNCH! haha Has anyone ever had those before???

Sounds like you're doing REALLY good! So much energy, and great cardio workouts. Keep it up. I may add TNT to my wish list...

Wow that workout looks killer! I work out at home and might have to steal this for a rainy day
Sounds like the diet is going good. I love cottage cheese (which grosses a lot of people out I have found) so I would have a hard time giving it up.

Because I think the idea (behind Plan A at least) is to limit your carb intake to only what you get from veggies.

Yes, it's not allowed in the 1st stage of TNT called the Fat Burning Zone (which is only 4 weeks). After that, you can have it on a Carb Reloading zone, but even then it's only a few days of the week I think, I have to go back and look?
Hard cheeses are fine, but as a rule each serving can only be 2g or less of carbs per serving....which knocks out cottage cheese. And like he said, they want you to turn to veggies for carbs.
I am still feeling great on this so far. I have finished week 2 so I just have 2 more weeks of the fat burning zone, unless I continue with it?? We'll see?
On an unhappy note---I had about 8 yogurt pretzels on Friday night and I got a MIGRAINE!!! I still am not sure if that is what caused it (the carbs from the pretzels??) and it was on a VERY empty stomach since I had only had breakfast and 1 protein shake that day.....but MAN! I am NOT going to slip up on this again because that was MISERY! I had to go to bed to close my eyes bc the lights were hurting, and then I laid there and saw "flashes of light" w/ my eyes closed! UGHHHHH!!! I couldn't go to sleep, needless to say bc my head was hurting square between my eyes, like someone was stabbing a knife in there I still don't know if it was the carbs after all this time of NO SUGAR carbs???? All I can say is that will keep me from "Cheating" again because that sucked!!
Worked out today but will log it tomorrow....need sleepy!

There are a couple of places we found that do sell them, but we decided they just weren't worth it. They're pretty small (I think 2" in diameter?) and expensive (nearly $3/each if you add in shipping). We found that making the flax muffins addressed any "bready" cravings we had. The bread cravings pretty much disappeared after 3-4 weeks though.
Do you make the flax muffins? We made them several mornings per week, eating them as part of a "mc muffin" type of a sandwich.

Thank you for telling me about that, I had no idea they were so expensive and I am super cheap!!! haha I prolly would buy them once and consider it not worth it or figure out another recipe to make my own!!
Since I stay home (for now) with my young kiddos, it is way easier for me to make food at home. I don't have super speed life that requires me to buy all my food prepackaged right now so this recipe will probably fit me just fine
*On the other hand, this is a HUGE pitfall for me since I AM home a lot, there is a LOT more food at my disposal (some bad-- some good choices!) but either way, sometimes boredom has led to eating even when not hungry
I don't know about the flax muffins but would love the recipe, I figure they are in the TNT recipe section since they aren't from the book when I tried to find them??
Thanks for the heads up!!!

Sorry to hear about the migraine. No idea if the carb/sugar triggered it, but... hope you're feeling better...

Oh, man, Nikster, I'm so sorry about the migraine! That slucks big time. What a whack on the head reminder not to eat sugar, huh?

Now, on to Stage 3!!!!!!!!!! workout A
I love this stage so far and I HATED/LOVED the BWM!!
*Most of my weights were much too low, but hey! that is what the first workout is for, right? I will start higher next time around!
One Arm DB Snatch
15/6, 20/6, 25/6 (need to start with 25 next time)
DB Single Leg Rom. DL
30/6, 40/6, 50/6 (again, need to start with 50)
Barbell Bent over row
45/6, 50/6, 65/6 (start at 65)
DB Single arm OH squat (these were weird, but I dig em'!)
used 20# and 10# for overhead/6,
same for rep 2
on rep 3, I went up to 25# on lower weight but couldn't go up for hand in air so I stayed at 10#
(I figure I won't ALWAYS be able to exactly split the weight in 1/2...but I hope to be able to go up to the 12's for next time??)
DB incline bench press
25/6, 30/6, 35/6
These were good to do today since I can see how much str | |
