Yipeee for Lisa and the new job. Also YEAH for having a better squat workout than in the past. I was worried that I killed Lisa so it is good to hear that she is back at it. I actually rather enjoyed that workout. Perhaps one day I will do some training.... Hmmmm.......

You would be awesome at it. Like I had said before, sign Lisa and I up as your first clients.

We really felt good slowly going down into the squat, stopping to readjust at the bottom and then popping up. Lisa said she feels good this morning. No hurt quads. We will most definitely up the weight on the bar next time. I think on Thursday we will be doing RDL.

So when are we going for a ride? How about this Sunday after your guitar lesson?

Default New Toy

Just purchased a fat loss monitor. I like how the name implies that you are going to lose fat. But I suppose I bought it more for accountability. I have decided to drop kick the scale out the door and start using this instead. I looked at getting a scale that measures the same thing (BMI, % fat, etc.), but I think I'd be better off with this. Besides, I was looking for calipers, yet nobody had them. I had considered taking a caliper set from work that measures ball bearings in bicycle parts. But I really do not wish to be compared to a ball bearing so I passed.

Measurements at 6pm today: Fat %: 28.6, BMI: 25.1

My goal is to get down to the same as my almost 18 y.o. son who is at 16.2%.

I turn 42 in less than two weeks. I think I'm having a hard time with this one.

He he he... I turn 45 in August and I wouldn't go backwards for the world. Each year I seem to get better.

Sunday I have the whole day free if you want to ride let me know and I will drive in. I want to go on my road bike if possible because I haven't pulled that one out yet this year.

Darn, we're taking off Sunday to go to the Deschutes (sp?) Park area. Saturday I'm riding with some friends at 1pm. The next weekend my parents are in town for my son's graduation. And the weekend after that I am supposedly up for promotion in taekwon-do. Damn, when did I get a life?

And, no, I would never go backwards for anything. I love where I'm at right now.

Ok, so I've decided to start the Warp Speed Fat Loss program. June 8 is d-day. D for diet? D for damn, I'm gonna look good! At least that's the plan. Low carbs have been a difficult thing for me. I'm hoping this will help with relearning on how to eat better. No, not like that all the time, but better. I am sure that my new Omron monitor will not be accurate, but at least it will give me the same inaccurate results and if I'm losing bf I'll know.

Tuesday's workout at home:

WU: BW Squats 2x15, Alt Toe Touch 2x15

RDL: WU 50#, S1: 12x70#, S2: 10x80#, S3: 8x90#

Seated DB Shoulder Press: S1&2: 12x12#ea

Split Squat w/ DB: S1&2: 12x12#ea

Standing Bent Over Row (DB): S1&2: 12x12#ea

Supine Hamstring Curl w/ Bridge: 2 Sets BW

Afterward, took the pup for a walk. He does so much better than when we have company (i.e. LisaC and our other dog). But at a year old, any listening he can do is a great achievement.

All this was done after I rode my bike home from work with a horrendous headwind. A little less than 8 miles.
