(Cue the Jeopardy tick-tock)
Can't wait to see your new numbers. You've been - honestly- inconsistent, but very earnest, and close enough to perfect. (Like most of us end up being.) So your results are going to inspire a lot of us, Steph.
I'm so proud to know you (virtually, anyway).

Sally.......You are such a sweetie!
Well, I'm not inspired by my measurements AT ALL!!! How can they possibly end up bigger than what I started when the pictures clearly show that my body is changing? I don't have a clue. I'll just remeasure when I get home to see if something is out of whack. I'm not going to dwell on it or be upset going into this weekend when I know I've made definite changes.
The good news???? I've lost 7.8 pounds in 25 days!!! I'm so happy about that, you can't even imagine. I'm back into the 160's and headed for those 150's!!!! Now that is all the motivation that I'll need for this weekend!!!
Have a great weekend, everyone! Get outside and enjoy the weather!

It does work, doesn't it? It's just keeping it going and not getting lazy for me that will be the hard part.
DH and I got home about 2 hours ago and finally, everything is put away. We had a great, great weekend and I did very well. I went a little over my calories on Saturday night (only by about 200) but, all in all, I'm calling it a successful weekend. It was much easier knowing I had everything planned.
The weather was in the 80's both Friday and Saturday, which is totally unheard of in PA in April.....so, we really lucked out. Today it's only in the low 50's and it's rainy and dreary. Great timing for the ride home and thankfully not while we were there.

Thanks, Greg! I've got a lot of work ahead of me, though. Let's hope that I can stay consistent!

What a great day today! I got so much done at the school. We had an in-service day and had a lot of time to do what we needed in our classrooms. This RARELY happens so I feel I got so much done.
I got a new magazine over the weekend called Clean Eating and I'm just loving the recipes! I put a thread in diet-nutrition forum if you want to see more about it. Here's the link: http://http://forums.jpfitness.com/d...else-read.html
Today for my 2nd snack of the day, I made the following recipe from the magazine. I think it will be an awesome pre-workout snack......some carbs, some protein, awesome taste!
Cottage Cheese with Apple Butter
1/2 cup cottage cheese (I used low-fat)
1 Tbsp. apple butter, unsweetened (used regular)
1/2 banana, sliced
2 tsp. sunflower seeds (I used chopped pecans)
Mix it together in a bowl and enjoy!
I also want to try this one!
Power Yogurt
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 scoop whey protein powder, flavor of choice
1/3 cup strawberries sliced
1 tsp. flaxseed oil
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Put all ingredients, except for fruit in a bowl and mix until the protein powder is thoroughly blended. Add the fruit and enjoy.
I don't think I'll add the flaxseed oil because I take Omega-3 supplements, but I'm sure it will be tasty without it. I'm also thinking any fruit on top would be good.......or combinations of low-fat flavored yogurt such as vanilla w/ bananas or blueberries, etc. The possiblilities are endless.

There is also a Clean Eating cookbook http://http://www.amazon.com/Eat-Cle...8813895&sr=8-2
with lots of great recipes in it. I just ordered it, but have yet to use it. Thank goodness for George Foreman.
Also, in re: increases in circumference... TOM and peri-TOM wreaks havoc on 'em. I had a flip out my second week (this is why I'm banned from the scale, incidentally), and Leigh "gently" reminded me that hormonal flux can cause water retention in impressive ways. So, may want to consider that. Anyway, congrats on the weight loss!
Tina

Thanks for the link & congrats, Tina. I just told Leigh that I must suck at measuring....lol She did explain that as you lose fat, it gets squishy and can move around a bit........but, that that means it's on its way out of the body, so it's a good thing.
BTW.......I just got the tea today! I love it!!! It will go on my list for the next time I order. ;-)

Thanks so much, Tracey. I felt stronger this weekend than I do now. TOM is due any day (probably tomorrow) and all I want is chocolate. Tea isn't doin' it, either.....lol

Steph, great job on the progress!! You sound so strong with your planning and all ... consistency is key! I find that if I don't plan, things go to pot quickly ... so I have been diligently planning.
