Wow! Congrats on your progress so far and also congrats on your decision to talk to Leigh. I am watching another of hers right now with interest and will watch your progrss as well. I think she does some pretty cool stuff and her videos are hillarious so she must be really funny.

kfisherx.........Thanks so much for the kudos. I'm anxious for the "cool stuff" but you have to tell me about these videos. Is there somewhere I can see them?

Leigh is great. I did a program of hers last year, and she was so helpful throughout, even though I wasn't paying a dime. She's awesome.
Congrats on getting back at it after being sick. Good luck in your training!

Thanks so much, Mel! It's awesome to hear such wonderful things about Leigh. It's a bit scarey trusting someone you don't get to meet "face-to-face" (not that face-to-face is any safer nowadays but I hope you KWIM), but after talking to her, I feel really confident that she'll be the key to help me reach my goals.

I can't wait to see what she has planned for you! Although, I have to say, it seems to my newbie eyes that you are doing a really great job on your own!

Thanks for the link, Tracey! I did see the video of measuring foods.....what an I opener. I do have a scale and have used the grams option many times......I just never thought to do that with protein powder. I will now!
I sent you an email because the addy you have is giving my provider fits and I had to get another one. So........now you have that one. Sorry about that.

Sally, thanks for your kind words. I just feel that I have struggled with this weight forever. I have made some great progress (I'm down from my heaviest of over 205lbs. on this 5'2" frame) but I keep yoyoing in the 170's and I really want to get below that and stay there. KWIM? Hopefully, this time it will stick since I'll have to be accountable. I want to be in the best shape of my life BEFORE I turn 40!!!

Good luck, Stephanie. You sound so motivated and I know that Tracey is seeing some great results from her work.

Thanks so much, Ginger! Tracey is the reason I even saught Leigh out. She (Tracey) is my main source of motivation right now.
Sooooooooooo, I just got done with all of the paperwork for Leigh. I can't believe how thorough she is with the questions. It makes me even more confident in her training methods. She really wants to know how your body works and what you like so she can make a perfect fit with your workouts.
I do have to admit that was quite difficult to look at myself in the pictures that she wanted. I hate my picture being taken and will avoid it at all costs if I can. I'm not photogenic at all; then, add the layers of fat, with only a sports bra and shorts on top of that and it's definitely not a pretty site.
I guess that's why I need her, right?
Okay........Tea talk!!!! I got my Teavana order yesterday and have been drinking it non-stop.....lol I'm not too thrilled with Rooibos Chai but may try mixing it with MateVana. Then I tried the MateVana and loved that one this morning. Now, I'm drinking Azteca Fire and I'm totally loving this one. OMG, the strawberry and chocolate mixing is just awesome!!! I still have Caramel Creme, Tropica, and Haute Chocolate to try.

I'm ready to post my first day of the program that Leigh set up for me. I'm really stoked to be working with such a knowledgable lady. I'm totally impressed by the amount of instruction she gave me for my plan. So, I'm ready to tackle it and do as she advises.
Today's workout:
Resistance A
Warm Up: Cathe's Push Pull
Front Squat: 15 reps/10(e)
Face Pull: 15 reps/20(e) on Bowflex
Dumbbell Step-Ups: 15 reps (each side)/BW (concentrating on no help from other leg)
Chest Fly on Swiss ball: 15 reps/10(e)
Standing Dumbbell Curl: 15 reps/10(e) - 3rd circuit 10reps/10(e) and 5 reps/8(e)
Side Planks: Right side (41s. & 26s.); Left side (28s. & 24s.)
I was to do these exercises as a circuit (no breaks between exercises) and then repeat the circuit for a total of 4X with a 2 minute rest between each circuit. Let's just say I'm jello!
This was followed by 15 minutes on the treadmill at 2.0 mph and a 4% incline.
Then I did my flexibility/recovery work. The myofascial release technique with the foam roller HURTS!!! LOL I've read that it does but had never done it before.......OMG, my hips were screaming at me.
All of that took me exactly an hour and it just flew by!

COOL!
Thanks so much for posting what all she had you do. Makes me feel a bit wimpy, I must say. Let's see what the DOMS has you muttering tomorrow, and the next day!
Keep up your amazing efforts, Stephanie. At this rate, there's no way I'll EVER catch your dwindling butt!

Sally.........Let's just say that straigtening my hair this morning was quite the ordeal because I couldn't stand to have my arm up that long! My arms/shoulders are talking back to me today. It must be those face pulls.

Kelly.........I can only hope. We'll find out in a month.
Well, today is my low calorie day and I'm using Tracey's trick of drinking tea. I'm literally starving right now. Dinner will be in another hour so, the Teavana is holding me over. The only tea that I haven't liked that I ordered is Haute Chocolate. There is some kind of peppery taste to it that I just don't like. Now Azteca Fire, MateVana and Tropica.......absolutely wonderful.
Back to food, since I seemed to be focused on it...... My homework this week from Leigh is to find 2 meals that I can "bulk" cook. I have a tendency to "eat whatever" when my DH isn't home because I don't like to cook a meal for just me. I have found a stuffed pepper recipe that I think will fit for one of the two, but any other ideas? Do you have a recipe that will make 5-6 portions that is healthy that you would be able to store in tupperware containers and then reach for in a pinch?
