Ah yes I've had a few Bell's products through the years - good stuff. We have lots of micros in the southern part of PA, particularly around Philadelphia.

Workout FL1 - A3
3x12, 60s rest

Squat - 65, 70, 70
Cable Row - 70, 72.5, 72.5
Supine Hip Extension - BW, BW, BW
DB Push Press - 17.5, 17.5, 17.5
Rotational Lunge - 5s, 5s, 5s
Swiss Ball Crunch - 12.5, 12.5, 12.5

Either I'm getting used to these workouts, or I'm not quite pushing myself enough, because they're not nearly as GRUELING as they were the first few times. I don't know if that's necessarily a bad thing - I pretty much wanted to die after them before. But there's got to be a middle ground...I'll try to up the weight a little more next time. Feels good, though, getting through them.

Big, beefy Rick at the gym said to me, "I don't know how much weight you've lost, but you look good." It's so nice to hear - I told him the scale had barely moved. People are starting to notice! Even when I can't always see it in myself, other people are. That's saying something, I think. It gave me the boost I needed this morning.

I feel like I'm finally getting back on track after last week. Whew.

It's supposed to be 70 today. I may have to shave the ol' legs and wear my first skirt of the season - am I feeling confident enough yet? Hmmmm....I do love wearing spring skirts. I have a great one with POCKETS. Yeah, it's pretty AND utilitarian.

Congrats on the workout. I think they should get a little easier as your body adapts to the exercise, but I don't think that means it's not working! Keep kicking it's butt

Way to get noticed If other people are noticing then it's definitely working. Way to go!

Nice workout - glad to hear you didn't want to die afterwards!

Congrats! And another example of why looking at a scale can be deceiving. Especially if you tend to carry a lot of lean muscle (as you do - you called it dense - and as I do).

Warmer weather's finally here! Time to kick it into high gear.

Whew - just finished some evening HIIT.
Feeling really good about this week - so far, two HIIT sessions and one weight workout this week. One more weight workout tomorrow, another HIIT Saturday, and then next week will be completely back on track.

The food side has taken a bit longer to get straightened out. I have no basis in science for this, but it sure seems like once I start eating "free" meals maybe a little too liberally, it's harder to get back on track because my body craves sweets and fatty foods. So after a slip-up, it's even harder to get back in line. But I'm doing okay. I ate more protein/fats today which I finds really helps me control the sugar/carb cravings. I need more chocolate for my desk at work - one square of dark chocolate keeps me away from the FREE ICE CREAM my employer provides. And not just like, vanilla...six different flavors and they change regularly. I normally don't care about it at all, but this week...whew, it's been warm and I've been wanting sugar. Oh, did I mention I have PMS? The cravings have been crazy! But like I said, I'm getting back on track.

I went shopping for clothes yesterday and hated everything I saw. Which is good, I really shouldn't be spending money on clothes right now. But wanting to look good in tank tops and skirts again has re-inspired me to get moving. In a BIG way. It's April! Past mid-April! I would love to lose another inch and a half off my waist before it gets really hot. Time to turn it up to 11.

Okay, I'm getting hungry for dinner...turkey cheeseburgers (no bun, mmm) and lots of broccoli and water.

You know you've made a lifestyle change when you think about turkey burgers (no bun) and broccoli and think, "Oh man, this is going to be DELICIOUS!"

And one more thing - a vein or muscle or nerve or something in my arm has been twitching all afternoon. I can literally see it twitching away in there. It's weird.

Hey, Rixa!

I'm so glad that you are back on track with your workouts. Great job!

As for the food and cleaning up your diet, I totally agree. If I slip up once on something sweet, it's sooooooooo hard to get back on track. I'm PMSing, too, and my cravings are awful right now. I'm also on my 1,300 cal. a day workout break with Leigh so it seems like they are taking over my brain......lol I'm on about my 4th caffeine free flavored tea to tame it, and I hope it keeps working.

I agree!!!!!!! I can NOT wear "babydoll" type tops or dresses... with my chest size, I look knocked-up in anything that drops loosely off from the chest. Ugh! NOT flattering!!!

You crack me up! I am so with you on the babydoll bs. Shawn hates them and always tells me they look like maternity stuff if I try one on. I figure if his daughters (ages 12 & 14) are wearing it, I will look like a total ass if I try. If my mom is wearing it, the same. There doesn't seem to be much in between.

My DH HATES the babydoll look - on anyone! He doesn't get the "potato sack" shape of dresses either - but then again, he has the exact same wardrobe he had in college, more than 20 years ago!

I read once that if you wore a trend the first time around, you're too old to wear it when it comes back in style . But what does that leave? Not much!!! I don't wanna dress frumpy and old, but I don't wanna look ridiculous and wear the same clothes as my teenager... No matter how hot your body, if you're too old, you look stupid in teenager-style clothes (my DD knows a girl whose mom is at least mid-40's and she wears "juniors" clothes and looks ridiculous)...

Someone needs to come out with how to look fashionable without looking like you are trying to be 16 or 60 LOL.

The clothes right now are totally frustrating. Especially if you want to show off your shape a little, but not in super skinny jeans or in maternity wear. The only thing I can think that's good about it is that if I can find a couple of cute shirts in the "maternity" vein, than I can at least wear it when I am!
