I have to say, Christina, the vision of your bikini clad body and helmet head really had me chuckling! Does the bikini match the helmet?

Pauline, My bikini top doesn't even match the bottoms. There's no way I could manage to match a helmet to that! Actually, I'm considering buying a new, matching bikini for the occasion.

I sit on a ball at work much of the time too - helps posture and also maybe NEAT since I squirm more (I need to do a bodybugg comparison of chair vs ball!)

ooh! You'll have to let me know what the results are! I know I move around a lot more when I'm on the ball--and I don't slouch nearly as much!

Hope your back feels better soon! I am interested in this bodybugg experiment, too.

I got my bikini top today and it's pretty full coverage for a bikini top - looks more like a sports training bra which I can deal with. I'm going to have a very white belly, though. I've got a deep tan everywhere not covered by my tankini! Maybe I'll read a book in my backyard with my bikini on.

I've pretty much got two colors--pastey white and pink to red. I'm going to go look at new bikinis either today or tomorrow, if I can muster up enough courage for it.

Latest workout: S6B4:
Chin Ups: 3, then 2, then 1.
Underhand lat pulldowns: 3 sets 2 @ 129, 4 sets 2 @ 112.5, 2 sets 2 @ 100
Barbell split squat: 1 set 4 @ 80lbs, 2 sets 4 @ 75lbs
Pushups: 2 sets 4 holding for 6 seconds in the down position. Wow! Those are taxing.

Next A workout, I'm supposed to do AMRAP and I don't know which weight to use, since I've used three different weights thoughout this stage. I don't think I'd get too many up at 129, and I could get more with 112.5, but which is more beneficial? Less at the heavier weight, or more at the lighter weight? I guess I have a few days to figure it out.

Food for yesterday was on track, until we ordered pizza instead of cooking. I ate a lot, it was delicious. I'm paying for it today. I've got my lovely milk rash again. I really shouldn't cave so easily when it comes to cheese, but I love it, and the soy cheese is no where near as good.
Food today has been breakfast and a snack. With any luck, I'll manage another good eating day.
S6B4 tomorrow.

Have you ever tried almond cheese? I find it to be much more palatable than soy cheese. I also just found a goat mozzarella that we really like, too, if you can do goat milk...

Careful there. You don't want to have a lovely tan and a red belly!

Agreed, but if you're trying to get the one closer to the other you would need to put a lower SPF on the white part. I know, I'm over-thinking it.

I haven't tried almond cheese. I'll have to give that a try. I can handle goat cheese better than cow cheese. I'll look into both next time I'm at the groccer. Thanks for the suggestions.

I bit the bullet and went bikini shopping. I didn't find anything I liked (excecpt some new undies, which I got). I did, however, notice a few things when I looked in the mirror (it was one of those where there's a mirror in front and one in the back so you can see what your rear looks like). First, I'm really happy with the way my upper body is looking. Second, I still need a lot of work in the area from my butt down to about 5 inches above my knees. And third, I've got a couple of new moles I need to get checked out, one in particular.
Which brings me to my last thing for today...Pauline, be careful with the tanning and lower SPF sunscreens. It doesn't take much!

Thanks for the tips, Christina and Anne. I actually did sit out for a bit today with 30 spf. I'm not sure how much it helped, but it's a start.

I'm glad to hear that you were covered! SPF 30 is good. Not much gets through that (and for me that's a good thing!).
I just did S6B4. The entire time I was at the gym two guys were staring at me like I don't know what. And, it wasn't my imagination--my BF noticed it too. We've been laughing and joking about it ever since. They were new to the gym; at least neither of us had ever seen them there. And, if anything, we should have been looking at them like they were insane bacause one of them had a hand towel tied around his head. My guess is that they're just not used to a small red-head with glasses lifting weights with the boys. BF thinks that it's because a small red-head with glasses lifting weights with the boys is hot. My reply to that is, well, I was sweating a lot!
Anyway, here's the workout minus the funny looks...
1 db reverse lunge: 4 sets 4 @ 55lbs. (+5lbs)
2 pt db row: 4 sets 4 @ 45lbs. I couldn't quite get the 50lb up and keep any sort of form.
db push press: 2 sets 4 @ 30lbs (+2.5lbs), 2 sets 4 @ 27.5 lbs. On the 4th rep on the 2nd set, I tweeked my shoulder brining the weights down. So, I lowered the weights, just to be on the cautious side. I'm glad I did because I made it through the rest of the workout without pain, but, when shooting baskets with BF, it started flairing up again. I'm going to put some ice on it here in a bit.
Back Extensions: 3 sets 4 @ 45lbs.
Incline Reverse Crunch: 3 sets 4 at a very steep angle--this is when BF noticed the looks.

Today I officially gave BF notice that we are getting back on track with eating. No more crap! He's not too happy about it. But, really, as long as there's food, he'll eat it.

Great strong workout and on the looks in the gym! I get looks too sometimes, especially if I go at a different time than usual. Obviously you were impressive!

Good luck on the eating thing...we're all struggling a bit now but it's encouraging to read how many have struggled but persevered and are improving.

Thanks Pauline. My shoulder feels pretty good this morning. I'm still a little leary of it though, becuase it's the shoulder that's all torn up. I think another day or so of ice should do it.

Completely off the topic, I found cheddar flavored goat cheese yesterday. It's a little tangier than cheddar usually is, but I like it. I shredded some up and put it in my "taco" salad for lunch (ground turkey with taco seasoning, spinach, cucumbers, salsa, goat cheddar, and non-dairy ranch).
The looks were funny. Everyone at the gym is pretty much used to seeing me there and never bother glancing my way, which I really like. I get to go in, do my thing, and leave. I'm pretty sure towel head and his friend were new to the gym. They'll get used to seeing me there.

I did pretty good on eating last week and through the weekend (except for the pizza. I, unlike everyone else, did not make a salad and have only one slice...). BF is just a tempter when it comes to crap. Everytime we go to the store, he picks up a ton of snacks. Saturday I made him put the chips back and opted for watermelon instead. He sulked until he ate a slice of melon, then was glad.

Lunch and snacks are all packed up. Dinner is planned, unless I go out with my sister, in which case, dinner is a salad.
