Okay now I am jealous. I want to do a 60 (guilt free) min run outdoors. That is the one thing that is absolutlely killing me the most about my current program. The "no running" rule. I can run for up to 30 minutes at a time and no more. I keep breaking this rule though and while it feels great to go out and run it sucks that there is this guilt associated with it.

Where does this workout come from? I don't recognize it from NROLW. I like this one.

I'm glad things are stating to click fo you... wish they would do the same for me! hehe
Thanks Kara--but judging from your progress pics, things are clicking all over the place!

That's so funny. The ittiest ones are hot pink, and they get more sombre from there. The 10lbs are black....then straight to iron!

I'm following the workout from Cassandra Forsythe's The Perfect Body Diet. It's geared towards weight loss, so I figured it would be good for a try. When I flipped through it and looked at the moves it looked easy--ha ha ha! There are three days of weights supersets workouts a week, interspersed with three days of cardio and abs exercises. You get one day off-and even on that day you need to do a minimal of 30 min of "purposeful activity." I have a dog that needs endless walking, so that's a no-brainer!

So last night I was extremely useless. I walked home from work, which takes an hour, and when I got home I was a rag doll. TIRED OUT! So I had some soup and strawberries and went pretty much right to bed. (Don't worry, I ate plenty during the day).

I also let myself sleep in because I was just sore all over. So I woke up feeling really rested and walked to work, and it's warm and sunny out.
I'll do my run and abs workout tonight after work. That will take some determination because I have a meeting after work, so it will be later than ideal. But I have lots of food to fuel me through this, and I'm determined to do it.

There. I said it. No backing out now!

Well, I'm proud to say that I did indeed drag my butt to the gym last night after my meeting. I'm an early-morning person, so to exercise later in the evening is a kind of gross experience, but I was DETERMINED to get my workout in, and I did!
I packed a sandwich to eat right before my meeting at 5pm, then went to the gym and was on the elliptical by 7:15 and got in an hour of cardio.
Of course, once I got started it didn't feel that bad. But I did find myself VERY alert last night! So I could watch the office and not feel tired.....

Since my schedule is so wacky I couldn't then get up and go for my workout this morning, but I will go today after work for my supersets. Aw yeah. Then I'm treating my husband to a dinner out because he had a big presentation this morning and needs some relaxing! Post-workout, I'm not worried about what I'll order--probably a nice big salad with chicken breast and a bloody mary--that's my go-to go out meal.

Cardio workout:
20 of elliptical
20 of treadmill: slight intervals, 2 min @ 6.0 and 2 min @ 6.6, alternating
5 min cooldown
Abs:
All exercises were done twice, with 10 reps each.
1. Hip circles (the hula hoop one)--ouchy!
2. leg to mat, each side
3. reverse crunches
4. bicycles

Lotsa stretching. It was nice to be able to take my time here and not have to dash to work or home to walk the dog. One advantage of an evening workout. Oh--other advantage--the TVs are actually playing semi-interesting stuff! (unlike the endless OC reruns that seem to plague the hours I go. of course, if I'm in the weight room that stuff doesn't matter.)

Way to get to the gym at a weird (to you ) time. I can just about promise you that you won't see me in the gym in the morning. Now that is gross!!! Perfect workout time for me is 7:00PM or so....
