To find a cleaner I recommend looking on craigslist. You can ask those people for references and they are always cheaper than a company.

Yeah, I don't want to pay someone under the table, though, so with taxes & supplies & stuff I'm sure the cost comes close to a service.
We hired a service and they came Monday and did a poor job, so I tried calling back several times to ask them to re-do it. My messages were pretty bland - just left my name & number & date of service and asked them to call me back. I left 3 messages throughout the week and no one called me back, so my message to them on Friday morning canceled my service. Disappointing.
I have another company coming out Monday to do an estimate & review of the house. If that falls through, I'm going to do more research and see if someone at work can recommend a service or a person who is fully insured & bonded and has an EIN for tax purposes.
Anyway... in fitness news, I am a slacker this week as well but I don't care. I'm enjoying the long break. I weighed myself this morning - 142.8, but that's not surprising given I've been rolling around in carbs for the past 2 weeks (mmmm, carbs). Next week it's UD2.0 and I should drop the weight quickly.
I bought my dress for the our wedding & party from white house black market. I got it in a size 4. It fit when I tried it on yesterday so I hope it still fits even if I lose 5 or so pounds in the next month. I don't think there's any way in hell I could fit into a size 2, to be honest.
We were supposed to get our rings today but ran out of time. I'm going to go order mine this week & we'll order John's next week when he's back from London.

Just cuz it's on craigslist doesn't mean the person isn't insured and bonded. My person isn't insured, but that doesn't mean I couldn't have found someone who was.
A place like Merry Maids could do the job, if you're looking for a registered business. There are a couple in your area.
But I do have to say, the underground economy really does make things "go." Where would BC be without the marijuana industry? It's estimated that 30% of all money going into the BC economy comes from the marijuana industry...

la dee da, I haven't posted or worked out in a while. Taking a major major break and enjoying it. This week's it though - after this it's hard core dieting to get rid of the rest of the fat and work on building muscle.
I bought my wedding dress last week - in a size 4 of all things Also bought a pair of jeans and am now thinking I might have gotten them too big. I bought them in a 6 (Gap's Long & Lean fit) but after a day of wear I'm ms. saggypants. Damn it.
We're ordering our wedding rings this weekend and my shoes should arrive some time in the next few days. The ring didn't work out (too $$$ for what I wanted) so we went for something else instead. Oh well.
Here are the wares:
The wedding's in 24 days.

Ooooooh! Purty!!!!!!!!
LOVE the ring, especially. You are going to be such a beautiful (and hot!) bride!!
Were the jeans "stretch"? Cuz those always stretch out too much for me after I wear 'em...

Wow - beautiful! Congrats on the upcoming wedding. Are you doing it up big? Or more of an intimate event? One of my friends is doing destination in June and I am quite jealous. We did the big ol traditional affair. Tons of work and stress - I consoled myself with wine most nights leading to my inability to lose the weight I wanted for said wedding. I look better now a year later then i did and I kind of kick myself about it. If only I would have known back then what I do now....
Oh and I own two pairs of non stretch. They are silver brand. But most of my jeans also stretch out - saggy butt is quite annoying. Although my Joe's jeans haven't stretched too badly.

We're doing it small I think there will be 16 people there... we're going to the courthouse Saturday morning then having a party Saturday afternoon/evening.
I can't wait - it'll be the first time my family & best friend have been to KC and I'm excited to show them around.
I have been married before and did the big event (it was still only 65 people) and you couldn't pay me enough to go through that again. It was horrible - teeseepoo was my maid of honor and she will agree, I'm sure. It was very symbolic of the marriage - I took care of everything while my husband-to-be sat around getting wasted.

WE made protein powder brownies the other day & they turned out ok. Not the greatest and I'm not sure I want to try them again.
Anyway, one of the ingredients was whipped cottage cheese - basically just cottage cheese whipped up in a blender. WHY have I never thought of this before?! It tastes like a combination of sour cream & cottage cheese.
Tonight I took some of that, mixed it with some fat free refried beans, and turned it into bean dip for my Tostitos Light (love those things, the chips with Olestra) as a snack.
Quite tasty, very low fat, high protein, and moderate carbs. Delish.

Purty shooz - I have a pair of cute black Mary Janes in that same brand and I could ALMOST be convinced to wear heels more often - they're very comfy!
