Hello!
I have recently( since thanksgiving) gotten back into wanting to be fit. I was very fit in highschool( 5'0 110-120 pounds) and in college. Towards the end of college and until now, as i am 29, I am refering to them as the dark ages. I did absolutely nothing but gain weight!
I have been a Vegan for almost 3 months now. I did this due to needing structure and I needed a lifestyle change. I have more energy than I ever did before. I have no intention of eating animals again, and I do have a good intake of nutrients with vitamins and just healthy eating. I am working on getting bad carbs out of my diet and its starting to happen. Sugar has been switched to Stevia, butter to soy butter, breat to whole wheat and whole grain, fried foods are almost never( fries are a weakness but it has been weeks since I have had any), soy ice cream bars ( only 90 calories! and protein!) etc... i still eat flour tortillas... I need to switch I know
In december I started going to the gym. I started on the elyptical for 30 minutes every other day. next it was 100 cruches with 10 pounds,
I have seen great results about 15-20 pounds... i refuse to weigh myself until I start feeling better about myself!
Since then I have moved to the treadmil for 30 minutes 1 minute brisk walk at 3.5 MHP and then runing for 1:30. I have seen some results but I have only been doing this for 2 weeks. And WOW do I sweat! Again 100-150 crunches
I think i am finally ready to add weight lifting to my work out. I was thinking 3 times a week. My problem is I have quite a bit of muscle mass. I have always been naturally athletic and very strong.
I can't seem to find a good lifting work out. I have looked everywhere... i don't need mass I need to tone and slim down. Any thoughts?
So I figure once I get a work out It wl look like this:
Mon Yoga and running
Tues lifing and running
Wednesday yoga and running
Thurday lifting and running
Friday running
Saturday lifting and running
Sunday Off! or maybe running!
Any thoughts or help is appreciated!
Cheers,
Bliss
