Thanks! Sure I'm sure the planks were 2:31. I used my stopwatch.

Incidentally Neil blew us away with a four-minute plank.

What, this looks too strenuous for an off week? Maybe I need more couch time?

I think it's good. I only like to take time off when I have the flu.

Mobility & Activation

Tabatas on bike, 6 rounds x 3 sets, bumped the sprint setting up two notches.

Is that understood?

Not so hot...

Mobility & Activation stuff.

Front Squat: WU @ 135, 5 @ 185, 3+2 @ 195, 2+2 @ 185

Chinups: 5 @ BW, 3+2 @ BW, 2+2+1 @ BW

Tabatas on bike, 3 sets of 6 rounds.

Just didn't feel all that energetic, plus the gym was crowded which put me in a grumpy mood. Had to wait for the squat rack, then all the spaces and benches in the DB area were filled and I was sick of waiting for stuff. To top it off, I ate a muffin at a staff meeting in the morning, so that made me cut back on calories for the rest of the day. Yeah, not too bright.

I'm resolved that the next workout will be a good one.

Yikes. I'd be shaking like a leaf long before that. Your 2.5 looks great to me too, Bill.

Your progress is looking good, man. Keep working at it. And don't worry about the grumpy day - it happens to all of us. Just regroup and start the attack again. Keep up the good work, my friend.

And that was at the END of the workout! And I was shaking like a leaf near the end...

March 1, 2008

Steve's recovery workout

DB Suitcase DLs: 6 @ 55, 2 x 6 @ 65, 6 @ 45

DB Swings: 2 x 10 @ 40, 1 x 15 @ 40

Pulldown: 10 @ 80, 10 @ 90, 10 @ 100

BB complex, 80 lb barbell: 4 rounds
5 each of pushup, RDL, BO row, front squat, good morning

Burpees: 3 x 10

Comments: lowered the weight on the last set of suitcase DLs because I couldn't get the form right: I tend to drop my shoulder.

The complex in particular was a lot of fun. It's been a while since I've done that sort of thing.
