My kids can do hard time standing on their heads. I only do that to them if I need to reset the situation. Otherwise, my favorite scheme is to remove things based on the seriousness of the offense. I prefer TV since that means I get some peace and quiet. The man who invented the cartoon network and or Nickelodeon should be hunted.

Yeah, my boy is just getting to that age where I can start doing that (he just turned 4 last week). Prior to that, he would just get confused if you attempted to remove things. But look out!

My daughter is 4 and you're right. It's just now that she is getting it. The boy on the other hand is old enough to freak out and start to beg.

Ditto here.

And the thing that sucks about camp ... NO TV!!! And taking away swim-time on the lake penalizes me too so that's out. We do more timeouts here ...

I needed to be. Some time I wake with the weight of the world. Last night was that night. I also really pushed my self in the gym so I think the ache was part of that. DOMS is starting to set in. Of course maybe I'm getting sick.

What an awesome day. I got up, read the paper, worked in the home office (with a door), went and worked out, and came back and worked some more. There was an Astros day game so I had that on in the background. I tried to get my kids to do the whole Mad Men secratary routine but they weren't biting. One great day.

Is that like a physical feeling or more of an existential angst? Cuz I get the latter sometimes. And I worked out now and then I might have the former.

It's more the latter than the former. Normally, solve a lot of the worlds problems while I sleep only to forget most of the solutions when I wake. Sometimes the computer hits a snag and I'm wide awake worried about it.

I've got 2 kids, wife, and a job. That is fertile ground for angst.

Yeah I know. What's worse is that if I work out again that hard I run the risk of running myself into ground and making myself sicker.

Decision, decisions.

I know what you are saying about the weight of the world. I'll get to sleep and suddenly awake with the feeling and no more sleep that night!
