That's great on the all-stars and the good grades! How old are your kids?

Sea World should be fun!

Good conduct never got a girl anywhere in life.

And what little boy is KNOWN for his good conduct and NOT a little weenie?

Exactly! Show me a well-behaved boy and I'll show you a future serial killer (or politician).

The boy is 8 and the other woman is almost 4. It looks like we aren't going to Sea World until later on in the summer now. I just got the practice schedule and he has practice all weekend.

I agree 100% which is why I'm not that upset. He's pretty respectful. That's not his issue. He's just chatty. I'll try not to dive into my rant about the feminization of little boys in the modern school system since it doesn't seem fair to label it that way to the women here. They want them all as a robot weenies to paraphrase Aiofe. The more estrogen the better.

You still want kids Marty?

The secret is to be teacher's pet.
But, then a little hellion everywhere else.

It got me far in life. I once started a fight that eventually got a good 40 kids involved. I was a prodigy.

Bummer!

Just a quick heads up, don't let your little girl sit behind you by herself on the water log ride. There are no seat belts (but a very steep hill) and I'm convinced I almost lost my child that day to my stupidity.

Wear your sunscreen!

That's a good lesson learned.

LOL. I feel like the grass is always greener and if/when I have kids, I'll think back wistfully to the days when I could sleep/drink/whatever whenever I wanted to. But right now I really miss my little 3 year old niece and am having serious baby fever.

Sorry about Sea World, that's too bad.

And respectful and chatty is good in my book.

It's not feminization. I mean, it's not necessarily a good thing that girls are ignored into no longer caring in school (oh have I read some interesting research about sexual discrimination in school... 99% completely unintentional too.).

It's wanting to breed sheep. I swear. Everyone wants to blame everyone for kids wanting to be active little suckers. I hope to hell when I have kids they're talkative, engaged, and constantly seeking why. It's the only way to break out of this insidious downward spiral this country is caught in...

That is a way better way to put it. bah! (That's my sheep noise.)

A side note about seeking why. When my son was about 2 I adopted a policy that I would always try to answer his questions. He got on the Y kick and we took a topic all the way to Maslow's hierarchy of needs before he stopped.

The good news about kids is that all your prior sins are washed away. There is now a person on the planet who will never belief that some one ever had to hold your hair back while you barfed tequila into the toilet of a seedy bar on dollar shot night. The thought of you actually having a relationship before daddy will actually be repulsive. It's a bonus.

Another quick anecdote with my children. you spend the first few years wishing they could talk. You spend the next wondering if they know how to shut up.
