Cafe Du Monde reminds me of when I was a little girl. Some mornings on our way to school, if we were early, Dad would take a detour just over the bridge and we would get to go have chocolate milk and beignets.

And the last time I had Cafe Du Monde I came home preggo.

Good times, good times!

Wow, that's some powerful stuff.

I admit to almost making my "O" face the first time I had dessert at Ruggles, but it didn't knock me up!

I've had some good breakfasts in my day but nothing quit that powerful. I'm still looking though.

Good. Sorry I didn't put a note thanking you guys for your kindness. Chantel got them out the door quickly. It really was a nice thing. I hope Michael enjoys them. It's got a really spin on religion and the Catholic church that he should find interesting to ponder.

It was the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons. It's a series of 4 very sci-fi books. It was great reading if you are into the genre.

Actually, lemme post it here, you'll see it better.

So, check out WiiWare... on the wii shopping channel. It seems like they have a couple multi-players there too. And if you don't trust to buy wii points online, you can get them at the game shops.

Spent 2 days floating around the pool with the kids. It was a decent amount of exercise throwing the kids around the pool. I go a little pink but nothing that won't heal by tomorrow. Today I'm on the straight and narrow. Had a carefully measured bowl of cereal and protein shake for breakfast. I slipped a little and had some boudin but it wasn't more than an inch long piece.

I'm glad you had a good weekend with the kids in the pool! How was the crawfish etouffe?

Thanks a lot for your advice about enjoying the weekend. It helped me relax a little bit and not get totally psycho (i.e., try to weigh my slice of chocolate cake or anything like that).

We fried them instead. I'm on the straight and narrow now but It was a decadent weekend for sure.

I'm glad you had a good weekend as well. It's so easy to go overboard on all this and lose sight of what is fun. I hope the in-laws were't to much additional stress.
