Only taking the step forward once to get set up for the set.
Your feet are planted in front of the bosu ball thing, bar across chest and you squat down.
I never should have even tried to describe this exercise, it is not my specialty.

That's all I got.

So it's a box squat but with a bosu ball from the sounds of it...?

Well, I thought a box squat had the bar across the back but again, this is not my specialty. But yes, it is the same motion as a box squat but you are going lower (obviously) because the bosu is lower.
My trainer called it that probably because the 1st time (a long while ago in my log) he took me over to the Smith/Safety machine and I saw him grab the bosu ball I shot him a look.

Sounds like you have a good range of motion to be able to squat down to a bosu ball. Nice job.

Hi Kelly. Actually, no it isn't a basic front squat. My legs are angled. Sorry to hear the smith hurt your knees, I could see how that could happen.

I'll be watching this too-- Tom's trainer has so many good ideas and I look forward to seeing what your trainer comes up with.

Thanks, Kara. I will definitely be looking for your update pictures, too.

Ok, Friday April 4th, I took the morning spinning class. I took Friday night, Saturday and Sunday off which is a little rare for me. It wasn’t like I just vegged around the couch eating Bon-Bons, though. It was a beautiful weekend and we worked outside a bit, put together a heavy basketball hoop and did some other stuff. It kind of felt good to take a couple of days off and I didn’t let myself stress out about it and now, I am starting this week off with a bang.
Last night I did some chest/tricep/shoulder work and then 25 minutes of light running on the treadmill. I also had a great stretching session. I have been ignoring stretching and my body desperately needs it.
Leg day this morning!
WU - Leg curls, 10X40, 10X50, 10X60
Squats
10X95, 10X135, 8X135
Box squats (the real ones w/the oly bar)
8X135, 8X135
Lunges
10eX65, 10ex65, 8eX65
Front squat (w/oly bar)
10X65, 10X65, 10X65
Straight leg DL
10X70, 10X70, 10X70
Wow, once I type it out it doesn’t seem like much but this workout totally kicked my bootay (literally). And seeing how my workouts are progressing with my Trainer, I see why we started out where we did and that there is a goal in mind with the particular exercises I am doing. I love my sessions, they are worth every dime.

It sure looks like a lot to me, Ginger! I am so impressed with your strength. You are so strong! I'll be thinking of you the first time I am able to do lunges with 65 lbs! I wish I could find a GOOD trainer just for a session a week. But, all the trainers at my gym seem sorta lame.

I was the same way this past weekend....worked outside all weekend and it felt good. The intent was to give my wrist a break, but that didn't really happen. But, it was soooo nice (FINALLY!) here in Ohio!
