Wow, that smile just shines through. Was that taken early on or towards the end? (just curious)

Thanks, Wendy. Are you serious about running with my for my first full mary/ If you are, we should collaborate together. I was looking at that one, because I have heard wonderful things about it and I don't want to do the one my sis in law is looking at. It's in Cleveland and I know a couple of people who have run it and they didn't love the course. I am also interested in the one in Pittsburgh (shocking, I'm sure!). And no pressure, but dependent on what you have going on, let's chat about this. Of course, I would be 100% honore and thrilled.
And I am so ready to start training!

Thanks, Anne. That was taken at or about mile 10, so almost done and my husband, mom and kids were there. It's amazing me to me how nice it is to see people you know along the way.

So, not much to report on the workouts besides totally rearranging my house for the upcoming halloween party. Had to take apart my squat rack and haul it and all the weights downstairs. So, tons of NEAT going on and my eating is on track. Hoping for a real workout in the next day or so.
So, I am not completely slacking.

Ah, hell, they are all a bunch of sissies with the flu this year. We suck!

ETA: I've heard good things about the course. It's a nice, flat one! I've ran the 5K part, and I liked it.

Is this the Rite Aid one? Hmmmm, maybe I will rethink.

I am so sad for Brady, it kills me to see him on the sidelines. It truly does. They should just get rid of him so he can go play somewhere. I was whining to Andrew and telling him how bad Brady looks. I think it is a piss poor decision to keep Anderson. I know you will draft someone else, but I just hate it for my bicep boy.

I hear ya! Yeah, it's the Rite Aid one. When I ran the 5K, it wasn't the Rite Aid, but the same course. Plus, you could stay with me.

Hmmmmm, you are making me rethink things! Just looked at the site again and it does say this
Quote:
The 33rd annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K features one of the flattest and fastest courses in the country. Whether you're looking to qualify for Boston, or walk a 10K with your friends - you'll enjoy a scenic "tour" of Cleveland and all the amenities of a world-class event.
Flat and fast sounds good to me! I am not sold on Cincy, just trying to map all this out. 26.2 makes me want to hyperventilate just saying it, lol! Thanks for helping me keep me options open and seeing you would be a plus. And, I could cuddle that puppy!

It really is. I couldn't even imagine if I was fast like you, LOL! It is a combination of the desire to improve, the fact that never in my life did I think I would run unless being chased and the atmosphere. It's all too cool and highly motivating. I'm lovin' it. (And I have a REALLY good coach and awesome cheerleaders.)

We'll wait and see what happens. I am definitely doing this one, barring anything happening between now and then. I hope it can work out!

Ha ha ha ha! That totally make me crack up!

I have a workout to post! Hot damn!

I am attempting this 200 KB swing November Challenge. I am (obviously) late to the game and I may or may not make up the others. But, it is what I need right now, so I am rolling with it. It's going to hurt tomorrow. Srsly.
All using my 20lb KB and that was heavy enough for me and these were done in sets of 20.
2 handed KB swings
20, 20, 20, 20 - basically 4 sets
1 handed KB swing - 20 each
20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20 - 3 sets 20 each side

By the way....thank you for thinking I am fast, but I couldn't keep up with any of the runners around here!

Yes, I played the part of royalty for our Halloween party. It was quite fun talking with a british accent and yelling "off with their heads" every now and then. LOL My husband was the White Rabbit.

We did a creepy Alice in Wonderland theme this year for our party. With the upcoming Tim Burton version, I thought it would be fun. We made our costumes out of things we picked up, which is always fun, too. I found my dress at a consignment store and went from there. The best costume of the night was Beeker from the muppet show.
Here's a couple of pictures:
Me and hubby.

Here is Beeker or Beaker

And a picture from the Columbus Half with my brother and sis in law.

I'll be back in a bit to post my KB workout. LOL. I am freaking sore from yesterday.

OMG, I made through day 2, lol. I don't know if I am recording these the correct way for KB's, but whatev.

5 sets 2 handed swings (20lb KB for all) - 20 reps
Bench press - 45X12 - 5 sets
1 handed swings (left - 20 right - 20 X2 sets) (1 set 10 each)
3 minute sprints after each round of the above
Dun to the dun dun. I have lost a lot of strength and muscle the past couple of months, but I also leaned out considerably.
My current goals are:
*keep up with my running 2-3 days per week
*2-3 days of weight training
*staying on track with my diet. I have a good thing going with my meal planning around running. IF helps me stay with my calorie goals and still be able to be fueled to run and lift.

Next race is a 4-miler on Thanksgiving Day. Excited to see the difference between this year and last. This was the race that got me all started on the road to getting the ankle fixed and sparked my desire to conquer my fear of running, lol.

Ginny, good luck on the Thanksgiving Day 4-miler. But I'm sure you'll do awesome. And I totally love your pic, and your Halloween party stuff. I may hijack some of your party ideas for next year, lol.

Now I have that song stuck in my head.

Ginny, good luck on the Thanksgiving Day 4-miler. But I'm sure you'll do awesome. And I totally love your pic, and your Halloween party stuff. I may hijack some of your party ideas for next year, lol.
Thanks! You can hijack any of my hallowen party ideas or if you want more, let me know. I am the Queen of Halloween and proud of it.

So, I did not do the KB swings Thursday or Friday due to extreme soreness. I may just have to stretch this out a bit until December, which is fine. I plan on running this morning and didn't want to be sore doing that. I'll do them this afternoon during football games.
